Peter assists refugees to find asylum in the U. S., helping those who have crossed the border but are at the mercy of corrupt “coyotes” or members of a drug cartel. Is there a distinction between what he’s doing and someone that helps them cross the border illegally?

Phrynne | 607 comments Well he is doing it out of the goodness of his heart, not for financial gain. It is just as illegal though.

He’s helping them after they cross to be safe and not be exploited. Peter has nothing to do with helping them get in the country. For all of them, it’s life or death.

We used to have reasonable hearings for those seeking asylum from danger. I’m clueless as to how we got to where we are and needing something like the Desert Angels.
