"Great. I'm starting to sound like a jerk because I expected better," Gwen said. She felt like walking out but she didn't want to lose two friends. No that wasn't right. Coral was not her friend.

"Come on," Mikan pouted more. "I was raised in a different world than you, where you join forces with others or you literally die. I've never liked conflicts to begin with, but if you think this was the right thing..."

Ching got off of her bed and stretched. "It sounds like you two are having some;...issues." In truth she had spaced out, trying to think of something to do but this was her job! "Maybe I can help in some way?"

"I don't have any issues with Mikan," Gwen pointed out. "Or do I?"

"Ching would probably want to strangle her as well," Gwen responded.

Jericho started to climb up her shirt.

"As long as things aren't getting violent, I will try to mediate. But if they do," she looked between the two. While not yet fully realized, she was still quite capable with the elements she *did* have understanding of.

Mikan froze a bit when Jericho made an appearance, trying to calm herself down. "See? Ching can help," She smiled nervously and looked away from Gwen.

"That would be nice and all, really," Gwen said, though the sarcasm in her voice was apparent.
"I hate her and I don't have any want to call her up. She should be crawling back to me if anything."

"If you really despise her as you say then you should just take your anger and let it go. Send it down the river and take in the tranquility of your surroundings." Ching would have been ready to help with conflict resolution but it sounded like the conflict was already resolved without her.

"Wanting her to crawl back seems like you either do truly care for her...or you just want to be proven right about something."

"That one, definitely. I know I'm right. How am I supposed to let it go? I don't exactly have a zen space to relieve all my stresses," Gwen pointed out.
She pet Jericho on the head lightly, carefully not to pin the megabat's wing.

"Perhaps we can look for such a place, if that is something you would open your mind to." She imagined this girl did not have the same level of spiritual power but Ching still wanted to help in some way. "Holding onto a grudge will do nothing but hurt yourself."

Gwen pursed her lips. "Fine. I'm up for anything. After all, it's something to do."

"Meditation it is then!" Mikan stood up proudly. "Although I don't know very much about it...one of mom's husbands is into it but he never taught me,"

"I'm not the...greatest at it," the young Avatar rubbed her neck. "BVut I have done it and managed to get into the Spirit World!" Of course that was with the help of her teachers but surely it couldn't be that hard...right?

"We're going to the spirit world?" Gwen asked, doubtful that it would be pleasant or possible.

"Oh, no," she shook her head. "I was just saying I've done it before so finding a place full of serenity should be easy." Should being the key word.

"That makes more sense. I think," Gwen replied. She looked around for some place to set Jericho so he wouldn't interrupt their focusing or whatever.

"I think it should be fun to try out," Mikan commented. "Kinda like when I talk to my bow,"

"We could always try out in the woods...or maybe there's some sort of temple?" She didn't really know if there *were* spirits or gods here.

"Like the ruins?" Gwen said. "I mean, people take them pretty seriously around here."

"Ruins? Are you sure it's a good idea to trample around in there? We might disturb something," Mikan said. "Even if not, it could still be seen as disrespectful if people still remember what they're from and for,"

"It's like holy ground, right? At least kinda? Sacred because of that? Aren't temples sacred places?" Gwen asked. She honestly had no idea when it came to spiritual stuff.

"They usually are, yes. But we can try anywhere. All we need for proper meditation is quiet. I just thought a place with great spiritual power might help but that's no guarantee." She sighed. She was trying her best with what she had learned but in truth, she didn't know how to properly be spiritual! Not since the Spirit Portals were opened, long before she was born. She always just waltzed into the Spirit World that way but that was no longer an option here.

"The ruins are abandoned. I bet they're as quiet as any place," Gwen told her.

"Still," Mikan said nervously. "But if you really think it's a good place, then who am I to deny it? After all, you're the one who's far more spiritually aware than I am!"

Was she, though? Ching wondered. She tried her best but it never seemed to work. She had been told Korra struggled as well but she was older than Korra when she had accomplished so much spiritual progress!

Ching nodded with a smile. "Then let's go there!"
