SOLVED. Historical Railroad Romance Series ( 3 books) from 1980's. [s]

The book I am looking for is definitely Historical Fiction and also might have leaned into Romance. The series, which I believe was 3 books, or it could have been five was first released in the very early 1980's.

I cannot remember much about it, but sort of "Dallas (TV Series)" like it had to do with a Railroad expansion at the turn of the century. There were characters like a patriarch Railroad Baron, and a beautiful daughter, and her male counterpart, who was probably against the Railroad.

I am certain that I read the first two of these, and that I obtained them when working at the Burbank Airport gift shop circa 1980-1983.

Though I do not believe these were published by a major house, nor were they Harlequin potboilers...somewhere in between.
