I think I would have preferred more plot, and some of the things that did happen seemed kinda implausible (basically the lengths Mrs Richardson goes to to find out information about Mia’s past).
I liked reading about the relationships between mothers and daughters and the various ways in which they can be complicated.
Moody’s Nice Guy TM attitude bothered me but he is also a teenage boy who is socialized into that entitlement so I can’t say that’s not realistic. *shrugs*
I appreciated Lexie’s character becoming more and more complex throughout the story and especially after her abortion. I also liked how there wasn’t really any shame about abortion in the book, unless I missed something. So that’s a plus!
I really didn’t like the sickly sweet envelope thing at the end.
Anyway I don’t read lots of novels so I’m curious as to what other people think!
