I definitely made up for yesterday! 1,255 words.Excerpt from Chapter 10:
I hear Daniel’s bedroom door close softly. It’s been longer than I thought. The sun is beginning to set, and the rosy pink illuminates my drawing. The red and orange light blooms on the page. It’s beautiful. If only I could capture the color of the dusk and put it on the paper. But I don’t even have a blue for the sky, or a green for the grass.

Almost as soon as we’ve stepped up out of the woods, Theodore is upon us, walking with an overly confident swagger, “Hello, Sienna!”
Sienna closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, “Hi.”
He squeezes her cheek, “Aww, Sienna, what’s got you so down?”
She pushes his hand away and takes a few steps back, “I’m down, because you’re touching me without my consent! Again!”
Theodore puts his arm around her and chuckles, “Silly girl! You don’t need to play hard-to-get with me!”

Excerpt from Chapter 7:
I set my bag down on the floor and plop down on my bed. It seems like Sienna’s arrival here has changed everything. It feels like I’m questioning everything tenfold. I shake my head, and pull out my math book. The problems are supposed to be easy, but the only thing I can think of is Sienna’s terrified expression when I left her with Theodore.
