A Change of Climate question

I'd like to talk with other readers about how the book begins, with Felix death and Emma his mistress, being at the funeral. His wife was Ginny. Then where are they? I thought the book might be about Ginny an Emma but it's really about Ralph and Anna (Emma is Ralph's sister) okay...liked the middle part but the ending? I read it twice. Why is it ending with Emma again? adding the name of the missing child for prayers. What about Anna. What will Kit do? Go to Africa.? I was hoping she'd do that and meet a young man that turns out to be her brother - she NEVER did learn of that story, did she? I
