MargieD2017 | 331 comments What a wonderful read this was! To make it more powerful it is based on an unsurpassed real female spy, Louise de Bettignes, that conducted her stealth workings during WWI through her network, The Alice Network. Kate Quinn used two main characters to tell of Louise de Bettignes contributions made to the war effort through her spy contributions. She used an alternating chapter approach bouncing back and forth between the two main characters. It was an interesting and elevating method of appreciating the story. Her writing was very engaging and held your interest from beginning to end. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a totally fulfilling read that stars strong women!

I loved this book! Such a powerful story especially when you begin to read about the real Alice Network. Great review.
