It's certainly been an interesting experience, and thinking on it I have also expanded my knowledge about some world events. Our lives can have a very narrow focus if we only read authors from our home country.

Yes, think that is true. I’ve read from UK, Ireland, Australia, Tanzania, Germany, Mexico, Nigeria, Haiti, France, China, Japan, Korea, wow more then I thought. I do like to learn about different countries at different times, but the way you are doing it is great. I am reading Before We were Free, by Julia Alvarez, soon, that’s set in the Dominican Republic, and The Silence of the White City by Eva Garcia Saenz is translated from Spanish and located in Spain. My dad gave me that one, Said really good. Enjoy.

Jetsetters, had not thought to read, but sounds like a lot like it, so maybe rethink. A Paris Library have that book, and heard good things about it. Have book Betty, Hamnet, and If I had Your Face deciding between. I need to focus and pick one 😙

I'm always surprised by books that are for my book club especially ones like this one as it would never be on my radar. Who knows, I might just like it as I did with Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President by Candice Millard
which was amazing!!!

I really liked the Midnight Library. It is relatable for sure and so good. A darker subject, but one that is pertinent.
