message 2790: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Ichizli-Bartels | 2 comments I am reading 16 books in parallel right now, and the last one I read today so far was "Think Like a Game Designer" by Justin Gary. It is a book for those who want to design and sell a game, but I find it enlightening in general and especially for the topic I am passionate about — turning life into fun games for ourselves.
Here is a brilliant thought I discovered today:
"... player experience is the only metric that matters."
This applies both to designing something for others but also for how we approach anything in life ourselves.
We often pay too little attention to how we experience whatever we are up to.
