“Keep reading. It’s one of the most marvellous adventures that anyone can have.” -Lloyd Alexander
Hey There!
I hope you and your family is safe during this time of crisis. I recently made an online book chatting website called- http://book-talks.com. Book-Talks is a platform where passionate readers like you and me and book readers from around the world can come and chat about their favourite books. For e.g. If you’ve read a very famous book then why not chat about the book with readers who have read the same book – share your thoughts on the book, the best moments and scenes in the book, post a fan edit for a part of the book you liked or disliked or even share some real-life experiences that you can easily relate with the book. I really really wish you would check Book-Talks and contribute in its aim for connecting book readers all over the world. Lastly, as said by Lloyd Alexander books are the best form of an adventure then why not share your adventure with others and also be of their adventures.
(PS: Thank you for spending your precious time reading this message. Everyone starts with that one subscriber, one follower and today I am doing that with my site so the biggest thank you to the very first visitors of my website. I Pinkie Promise that you will love Book-Talks and Book-Talks loves you back for visiting it.... Thanks again!! Have a wonderful day!)
I’m currently reading Inferno by Dan Brown. I’ve always been fascinated with his style since Angels & Demons as well as the Da Vinci Code: the way he incorporates Art History in there alongside the mystery aspect of it 😊
The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes
just finished She Said and Catch and Kill - 2 accounts by the journalists who uncovered the Harvey Weinstein story and other cases of sexual assault. Now reading Daisy Jones and the Six.
I just finished This Town Sleeps by Dennis E. Staples, and now I’m rereading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban!
The Southern Book Club's Guide To Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix. One of the best books I've read in years.
Just finished reading The Anatomy of Dreams by Chloe Benjamin. Next will be Christina Lauren's Love and other Words ☺️
I'm reading Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty :) Big Little Lies
I hope to get on with the TV Show afterwards, and Reese is starring in it!!!!
I just finished The Southern Book Club Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix. I really loved it. I just realized that I have his other book, My Best Friend's Exorcism on my book shelf. I think I'll read that next.
The Library Book by Susan Orlean about the fire at the Los Angeles Public Library in 1986. The loss of 100s of thousands of books and other relics was devastating. The big question: was it arson or something else?
I started reading The Last Mrs Parish by Liv Constantine. I stayed up til 2am and now I am suffering trying to stay alert at work.
I recently finished and absolutely loved "Little Fires Everywhere" by Celeste Ng. The book and TV show depicted complex, flawed, human relationships, and hit on real issues about race, motherhood, social class, individual choices, and isolation. The way each character was fully developed and it's own role in the tragedy and twists was spectacular. I believe there needs to more representation of complex women in literature and film.
