Much better than expected. Just put on hold reading, since finishing some other books. This one does deserve attention.

Then really excited I got The First Time I Saw Him (Hannah Hall, #2) by Laura Dave The First Time I Saw Him
by Laura Dave. This is a Sequel to the hugely popular and enjoyable book, The Last Thing He Told Me The Last Thing He Told Me. It is Publishing January 2026.

Maithili | 1 comments 1. The lonliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai
Its desi, its a reminder of old times. It made me feel like I'm the protagonist at times. Just read a 100 pages and it seems interesting. Waiting to see how it shapes up.
2. Yellowface by R.F.Kuang
i'm loving this. Its fast, gossip-y and dramatic. It balances out the seriousness of the book no. 1.

In both the books I'm reading without questioning, more like a meditation. So, I don't have very strong opinions about either of them. Planning to start diving deeper and writing notes from now on!

What do you think? is it okay to continue reading without going much in depth or do we question, absorb and let the chapters simmer in our minds before moving forward?

Italiangirl | 22 comments Heart the Lover by Lily King
It starts out in the 1980s at a university not unlike Harvard in Cambridge, Mass. Romance, character development and general love of language. People say it's autobiographical. I am only halfway through and I can't put it down. The title becomes apparent early in the story.
