Currently reading The Mindf*ck Series by S. T. Abby. Awesome thriller so far!!! The series is of all 5 books. Great break from all the fantasy I’ve been reading lately.
I'm currently reading Death By Cheesecake by Rachel Ekstrom Courage. It's a light fluffy read. It's the first book in the Golden Girl cozy mystery series.
A Short Walk Through a Wide World by Douglas Westerbeke — I’m halfway through, and it’s an interesting storyline. It reminds me of The Invisible Life of Adie LaRue but unique on it’s own.
Really enjoyed
The Daughter by T.M. LoganTM Logan Here's my 5* review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
You will not want to send your daughters to Uni after reading this!!
Just finished "THE ROSE CODE" Kate Quinn. Fantastic. I have officially become hooked on her books. This is the third one I have read and they are all phenomenal. I am a huge lover of historical fiction and so far Quinn has not disappointed.
I’m reading The Queens of Crime
by Marie Benedict. Just started it, but off to a bit of a slow and stale start. About Women Detective Writers, which seems so interesting, hope it will pick up. Then I have the book and audio 🎧 of Lovely One: A Memoir
by Ketanji Brown Jackson I really love the law. Justice Jackson is extremely intelligent and passionate about both interpreting the law and trying to find fairness for all. She goes into detail about cases that some might find tedious, but that is my favorite part. Glad she appears to always try to use integrity and honesty in her life and work. The book is a little too long. I have some mixed feelings about her need to always please at any cost, and both her husband and her barely have any down time. It makes me think a lot about what we expect of individuals and make it almost impossible to have work/family life balance.
I finished Red Rising and really enjoyed it! I’m waiting to get the second book from the library, so now I’m reading The Women by Kristin Hannah.
I just finished a book, "Friend of the Devil" by Haymitch St Stephen that opened my heart to a greater level of compassion. A teenage drunk driver caused a car accident killing a pregnant mom and two of her children. A few days later the husband forgave publicly the teenage driver assisting him with his recovery. The story is touching and life changing. I highly recommend it for all...and maybe your teenage drivers!
Dark MatterCrouch is a master story teller! Dark Matter is a fantastic read! The script used in the series adaptation is good, but the book is better!!
