I stumbled upon 'Calder Grit' by Janet Bailey and I’m glad to say it doesn't end with a cliffhanger that'll leave you screaming at the author. It's a happy ending, kind of like finding a dollar in your pocket that you forgot was there.
Just completed
Framed by John GrishamJohn Grisham and Jim McCloskeyJim McCloskey. Really interesting true stories of the US Judicial system
Here's my 5* review
I just finished:
, A.H. Kim It’s a Retelling of Pride and Prejudice, but I have not read that book, so definitely Stands Alone. About 3 Generations of Women, who come together at a Cancer Retreat Center. Amelia has lost everything, her sister is still grieving her deceased husband after 12 years, and their Mom, Evelyn is about to lose her home. It’s about finding love and expanding your family to include others in it. Finding a way to move past grief and regret and so much love between this family. Still Reading:
, Abraham Verghese. Excellent book, but slower pace and epic story across many decades. Like Reading this one slow and taking everything in.
, Laura Dave I’m 75% done and like this book. Brother and Sister suspicious about their Dad’s fall off a cliff and being called an accident. Perhaps, he has secrets in his past they did not know about. A big part of Laura Dave book is the pieces come together at the end. Will have to see if this one is as good The Last Thing He Told Me which I loved.
The leap year gene of kit McKinley by Shelley wood (But when I bought the book it says the leap year gene by Shelley wood, same book just the title changed a little bit)
I am currently reading The Evolution of Annabel Craig by Lisa Grunwald and really enjoying it. I am also reading The People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry which is a lighter read.
Finally starting the ACOTAR series! I hope I like it as much as everyone else I know who has read it!
I am finishing The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese This really is an Epic Story that tells a Rich Tale of Generations of a Family, set against the back drop of India as in changes across decades. Excellent.
