Listened to The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins today. I hope to finish this book by the end of the week.
The book I just started
, SW Hammond is one I would NOT recommend. Here is just a description of the first chapter. This book needs to get much better. Alex tells a teenage kid to keep his grades up and he will bring him to LA, you know place of B*tches and Beaches. He repeats that 3 times. Then it’s just slang and cursing with his family. I was using that Star Key non-stop.
Another example: When talking to his brother, it’s “Shut the F*ckin Gate”. Next, his friend, says girlfriend, “Pam’s a F*ckin B*tch.
This is apparently writing to the author. If you liked Daisy Jones and the Six or The Final Revival of Opal and Nev, definitely skip this one. If you read any decent celebrity or music book, you probably will like this one less. Just my opinion…….🫤
"War of Hearts" by Samantha Young. I've read it before. Reading it again. It's so goooood. Highly recommended.
Finished A Novel Obsession late last night. Will be try to work on The High 5 Habit: Take Control of Your Life with One Simple Habit or The Book Charmer next.
Imagine Me (the last shatter me book). i have binge read the first five books in under a week and i am not looking forward to the series to end.
I just started The Guest List, but I don’t like the characters. Does it get better, worse, or are any characters likeable and maybe I haven’t met them yet?
Sarah wrote: "Rescue by Anita Shreve"I loved it! I’m so sorry she passed …no more great novels from her.
I’m reading
by Colum McCann. I love this author and his writing is beautiful, but reading it slow since it is about two men who each lost a child due to endless killings, one is Israeli and the Palestinian. It is amazing they come together and speak about peace and their experience. Still, we currently have that situation going on and it just is hard to get through sometimes. Then love the HULU Series about the Swans of Fifth Avenue with Truman Capote and Babe Paley. So, I look up some books, guess who has had this great book sitting on my TBR stack for 6 years? So, now I am reading it, really like it. The book goes more into the heads of the characters, which I like.
by Melanie Benjamin. Have the audio, too. Fun and interesting book.
I am reading Iron Flame almost done, Secretly yours and about to start Pimp ( this is difficult read for most in terms of arc)
I just finished Green Dot
, by Madeleine Gray. This is her debut novel and thought it was fantastic. About a 24 year old finding herself and in love for the first time, but the man is married. Loved Heda, the MC.
Going to start Holy Hygge: Creating a Place for People to Gather and the Gospel to Grow later this afternoon!
