I am still reading THE LANGUAGE OF KIN by Lynne Hugo. The connections she is making with and about language is amazing. How we communicate with each other when words, spoken words, are not an option. How we communicate across species - with a reminder that primates (and I think by extension all animals) are sentient beings. It is a powerful, enjoyable read.

Hello My name is James Hansen and I just finished and published my first thrilling short story. It’s called “Dark Dinner” and I would love to have the group read it.
just finished yellowface, didn’t expect it to be so horror-y at the end but i really enjoyed it! now waiting to read “the maid” by nita prose for a book club
Ali Garcia wrote: "just finished yellowface, didn’t expect it to be so horror-y at the end but i really enjoyed it! now waiting to read “the maid” by nita prose for a book club"I enjoyed this story but didn't find the ending satisfying or conclusive. That brought it down from 4 to 3 stars for me. I did enjoy reading about the frustrations and complications of the process of an author publishing a book.
I read The Maid some time ago and gave it 5 stars. My review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book -- especially trying to sort out the facts due to the quirky version told by Molly The Maid.
I keep reading through all my To Reads but currently on Haunted: Possession by Lee Mountford. This whole series is just so much fun and spooky!!
I’m currently reading Sarah Pekkanen’s new book Gone Tonight and I loveee it! I’m 71% done and I’m thinking this will end up being a 5 star read overall
Just finished Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano and am now starting The Perfumist of Paris by Alka Joshi
I am currently rereading A Light in the Flame by Jennifer L. Armentrout, for the 3rd time! A Light in the Flame
Why I Hate & Love Pickleball And How You Will TooHi. I would like to introduce myself. I wrote "Why I Hate & Love Pickleball" which is about pickleball but really about becoming a better version of yourself as told through intimate stories of everyday people. Most non-fiction books bore me, so I allowed the emotions to drip off the page.
It is a love letter to the sport of pickleball, athletes, and all of us who have courage.
