I loved The Favorite Sister and Ruth Ware is one of my favorite authors!! I hope you enjoy it!
I'm currently listening to How to Walk Away by Katherine Center. I've been in a bit of a reading slump, so I'm listening to the book instead of reading it and I'm trying a genre I don't read too often. I usually stick to thrillers, but I just don't have the attention span I need to really get into them.
Just finished Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman. It was a fantastic, fast-paced, kept me up all hours, made me miss my train stop twice, kind of book. Steadman is one of my new favorite authors. Can’t wait for her next book!
Just finished The Last House Guest...it had some moments but the end seemed to be dragged out way too long with not a great ending...I would give it a 3 out of 5
Currently reading “In Defense of Food” which makes me wonder what we really should be eating!😫🤪 It blows holes into all the dietary guidelines of the last 50 years. But I think the end result will be whole unprocessed foods, especially those grown / raised without chemical intervention. Also reading “The Brave Art of Motherhood” it has great reviews but I don’t identify with it much. I’m reviewing “Where the Crawdads Sing” next week for our local book group.
House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. CraigI am pleasantly suprised. I was not well informed on what this was about other than it being considered teen fiction. (I'm not sure that I find there to be too much "teen" about it. And that reference is only bc that is what the library's label lists it to be. I am rather enjoying the "Twelve Dancing Princesses'" retelling. I honestly have no idea what happened because I have never read The Twelve Dancing Princesses, but after I finish this I just might have to. It is quite interesting and I am curious to see how it compares to the old fairy tale. I love the relation to the ocean and the gods. It is also much lighter than my last few reads which is an excellent break! <3
Currently reading It by Stephen KingTo be completely honest I have never felt as confused by a book as I do with this one. I haven’t seen the movie and had high hopes for the book, but at 68% in, I’m wondering why do I keep reading?

I am not at all a SK fan, either
Laurie wrote: "I’m finishing The Lies We Told. Will be reading Where’d Ya Go Bernadette? next."omg I loved the book Where'd ya go Bernadette? one of my favourites
I finished "Red, White and Royal Blue" and "Normal People" -- two books that could not be more different, but I enjoyed them both. Debating what to read next...
Reading In Defense of Food (my quarterly health read) but before that I red Ask Again, Yes and An American Marriage.. both great reads. I think Washington Black is next on my list.
Oneida wrote: "I’m reading Carry On by Rainbow Rowell and I love it so far. Definitely got some Harry Potter vibes going on"I've read this twice now and so excited for the sequel to come out in September!
Why has this Goodreads Bookclub been showing Whisper Network as our current read? What is the newest Reese’s Pick? Please update sooner so we will be able to purchase the newest pick sooner.
Currently re-reading the Outlander series. I am tackling The Fiery Cross for the sixth time.... it is SUCH a slog. I don't recall any of the books dragging like this before. I re-read the whole series every 2 years or so, in preparation for the next instalment... ever hopeful!
Reese only made the announcement yesterday - 9/1! And actually i think this book isn’t released until 9/3! 😉
I'm currently reading The Last Thing You Surrender. Historical fictions are admittedly not one of first-choice genres, so this has been a great stretch out of my regular comfort zone... so far.
the seven husbands of evelyn hugo! 48% way through. I feel like I'm flying. it's an easy and light read. I last read before we were yours, and loved it, but it weighed heavy on me. so this is really nice
I just finished The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and all I can say is WOW! One of the best books I’ve read in a while.

I’m halfway through the Stationary Shop. It’s pretty good so far. I'm also reading The Last Mrs. Parrish.
Reading, A Little Life, by Hanya Yanagihara. READ IT! POWERFUL, PROVOKING, HEART-BREAKING, JOYFUL, HOPEFUL...❤️
Barbara wrote: "Am reading The Death of Mrs. Westaway... got me hooked from page one. So far I would say this is the best of Ruth Ware!"I read that and it got me hooked on Ruth Ware. I just finished "The Turn of the Key," and I really enjoyed it also.
