A am reading now this book:The Secret Map of the Fairy Kingdom: A Chapter Book with Exciting Adventures for Kids
Once upon a time, Jack discovered an old map leading to the Fairy Kingdom. With his friends Rose and Iris, they faced challenges, battled creatures, and discovered the kingdom's secrets. Together, they saved the Fairy Queen's people and learned the power of making a difference.
Reading two books Choosing to Run: A Memoir and The Longest Race: Inside the Secret World of Abuse, Doping, and Deception on Nike's Elite Running TeamHappy Reading to everyone!
Just finished My heart is a chainsaw. Will probably read The Passenger next. Sad about Cormac Macarthy passing.
, I am finishing this book and find it so interesting. 2 Sisters live in the country during the war, but the young one goes missing. They make up a Fairy Tale World. 20 years later, a book is published with this fantasy life, yet the older sister had never told anyone. I really am enjoying this, but don’t know where it’s going to lead. A mystery for sure. I am also reading
, by Louise Kennedy. I am trying to finish all the books nominated for the 2023 Women’s Prize for Fiction. This is a darker and more disturbing book. Cushla is Catholic and lives near Dublin. This takes place during The Troubles. Excellent so Far.
Bumping my other book to read The Five Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand. The book was available at my library.
I am currently reading THE LANGUAGE OF KIN by Lynne Hugo. I am absolutely enthralled - I mean it - from the very first paragraph. It's not even a book I would normally pick up, but Lynne is an award-winning author from an Indie press and I got a free advance copy, so I started reading. It starts with the capture (described so well that I was in tears) of baby chimpanzees - then focuses on one, "Eve" who makes her way to a zoo - saved from a life of being used from medical experiments.
I am not that far in, but I just had to say something. Seldom am I so engaged from the very first page.
Wow.
