30 books this year mostly literary fiction and classics with one fantasy in the mix

I've read 135 books and I'm currently reading 5 books.
140 books, but I don't expect a repeat.
Hey Aqsa, wanted to update my number. (Message 23.) I've read 87 books was heading towards 90 but fell short ;)I was thinking about the 2019 Book Count and I had an idea that would mean you don't have to manually update and calculate the numbers yourself.
Everyone participating has to create their own folders in this '2019 challenge post' and then the count of these folders contributes to the group's total.
It should work, though I haven't been able to check it myself so I don't know for sure... Maybe you've tried it before and it didn't work? I just figured it'll free your time up a bit hopefully.
Good luck, I hope my suggestion makes sense but if not, I'll happily answer any questions.

I read 132 books this year, more than the previous so super happy :)
i finished at least 109 books and comic vols. i feel like i missed some comics but i’m still happy !!

Sorry! Not folders. I meant shelves. The whole idea is sort of like the main Goodreads Challenge except the shelf will not be the normal 'read' one (so no one outside the group will be able to contribute) but 'Buddy Reads 2019' and the main count will be on the challenge page.

Updating message 66: ended up with 88 this year.
Goodreads tells me I read 151 books in 2018.
Has Book Count 2019 been created yet? The only challenge on BT is the Readathon.... I was actually just thinkimg another bonus of the count being automatic is that participation is as easy as with the main GR challenge as participants don't have to manually update either!

Yes, it has begun. It is in this folder along with other 2019 challenges. BT??
Also, I thought about it, but I guess we won't get the total books read by the group that way. Individual challenges will be there but the total of the whole group will be missing and then the challenge will be of no use since GR already provides us with the same individual challenge. This makes sense?
Yes you're right! Though, the main GR challenge page counts all participants together on its main page, But I understand :)Not BT- I meant BR, sorry.
