Aedion patrolled the bridge, annoyed. He should be back at the castle, but they were short on soilders so he was here. Huffing, he leaned against the bridge.
Victoria happened to be patrolling the bridge as well when she saw the Captain ((or was it general? sorry, i forgot)) patrolling as well. She stopped and saluted.
((Literally same thing I really don’t Care XD))
Aedion saluted her back, a bit surprised. “Well, I didn’t think we had enough soilders to patrol here after everyone got sick” he said to her.
Aedion saluted her back, a bit surprised. “Well, I didn’t think we had enough soilders to patrol here after everyone got sick” he said to her.
“Lucky” He paused thinking. “Victoria, right?” Aedion said to her, but his eyes were still scanning the bridge,
“Most definitely! Sixty percent got sick” he said, shaking his head.
“I’m so sorry about that. Is he feeling any better?” He asked her. Aedion could relate, both his parents were lost to it.
“I’m glad to hear it” he said, stopping to check a caravan full of performers before letting it pass.
“Not the best. I was actually pretty excited about training some new soilders today, but I’ve been stuck here due to the lack in numbers” he said with a sigh. “Yours?”
"Well, could have been worse. One of the other empires could have attacked" he said with a joking smile.
"I was, and I hope not too. That's the last thing I need" he said, staring up into the sky.
"You're an archer? I always wished I could shoot!" he said with a laugh.
“I would badly shoot myself” He laughed. “I’m actually clumsy when it comes to aim”
“That’s what happened with me and daggers” he responded
He laughed. “It’s not too bad after a few hours of practicing a day”
“You would when you have nothing better to do” he said, smiling softly
He nodded, flipping a dagger over in his hands.
“Hmm? Oh, of course!” He said, handing the black handled dagger to her. It had words in a different language carved into the blade.
“That one says ‘honor without dishonor’ but each of my daggers say something else” he said to her.
“Yeah. It took me awhile to figure out what it meant” he said to her.
“Afiya. I had to find the last person who actually spoke the language. But I’m learning now” he said with a smile.
"That's nice," she said, taking the bow of off her shoulder and showing it to him, "So maybe you can make out what it says here," she pointed to the words.
“I’m not exactly sure....something about aim....and truth, or wait no...trust. Aim and trust? Trust your aim?” He paused “something like that”
“It seems like it would. How long have you been working here?” He asked
“That’s good. And your brother?” He asked
“Oh. I’m sorry again about him.” He said
She nodded, and then looked up again, "Well," she said, "This is going into a slightly awkward conversation!"
“That always seems to happen when I’m around” he said with a shake of his head
