Did you believe Nelson was innocent?

Phrynne | 607 comments Yes he had to be because he is Mrs Ellsworth's son. She couldn't possibly be the mother of a murderer:)
Though I was surprised when I discovered he was innocent of everything including a sexual relationship!

Oh, that was too funny that he hadn’t even had sex. I never believed he was guilty, not for a second, Mrs. Ellsworth or not. He was too...innocent:)

You know, I had no idea they used sponges back then. That was a revelation.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I didn't believe he was guilty for one second. He was just so sweet and naive.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Yes, I always believe he was innocent. I didn't think that author would break Mrs. Ellworth's heart like that, lol.

~ Giulia ~ | 193 comments Yes, he was too naive to be guilty, and he was still so certain of Anna's honesty.
(And, of course he was already the police's suspect from the beginning, so the culprit had to be someone else or there would be no mystery to solve :P)

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I never thought Nelson was capable of killing anyone. He was so enamored of Anna, believing her BS story.

Don't the Regency romances have lightskirts using sponges? Maybe I'm wrong....

I don’t read a lot of regency romance so I wouldn’t know. This is the first time I’ve seen a reference.

Yes, they do when the story focuses on courtesans.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Frank's discomfort when discussing these things with Sarah makes me smile. As did Frank's reaction when Nelson told him about how Anna had gotten pregnant, lol.
