Thanks so much, Sean. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and your enthusiastic review is a great encouragement!

Kenyon Henry (kenyonthenry) | 25 comments For some reason, when I attempt editing my previous post, it throws me back up to the top of the screen. So, here's the new link to the Amazon review for Courage by Lauren Salisbury.

Here is Goodreads, also.

Thanks, Kenyon!

I've had the same problem. It's when the post you're editing is no longer on the current page (i.e., the thread has run to a new page since you originally posted). I think there's a way round it, but what you've done is probably the easiest solution!

Hello Glen!
Yeah, it's really inventive, complex, with a redemptive message subtly woven into the plot--and characters you won't soon forget. And not sure if I brought it out in my review but the antagonists are a real nasty lot which creates a real sense of danger/threat to the main characters. The novel offers many surprises and is enjoyable. Can't wait for Book Two!

Thanks for the kind words, Sean! I hope you do get to read it sometime, Glen—I'd love to have one of your in-depth reviews as well.

Thanks, Kenyon! I'm glad you enjoyed reading Courage, and your comments were encouraging and helpful.
You were right, I set up the whole series in book one, so the pace should be much better from here on out. ;)
I appreciate your kind review and the compliment to my writing, that means a lot. Thanks again!

message 159: by Justin (new)

Justin Coogle | 91 comments Hey guys, a Mod in another review group posted this in reference to reviews not being posted to alternate forms of Amazon (like US, UK, etc). Has anyone tried this?

"The key thing to remember when trying to leave a review on any Zon site that is not your own country is NOT to make a new account there.

To get to the book on the site you want, go to the book on your regular Amazon site and change the amazon.com to amazon.co.uk (or the other way around) in the address bar and leave all the rest of the address the same .

If you are confronted with a sign in screen, just sign in with your own, regular account details and you should have no problem.

I have never purchased anything from Amazon in India or Canada or Australia, but I have left reviews on all those places by signing in with my UK account, so I know it works. As long as you are an Amazon customer in good standing in your own country, you can post a book review on any Amazon site.

If you purchased the book it will only show up as 'Verified Purchase' on your home site though.

Hope this helps anyone who is struggling and also puts to bed the myth that you need to make purchases from a foreign Zon to be able to post a review there."

This is the system that used to work. It's how I posted reviews to amazon.com when I first joined the reviewing groups. But I'm afraid it's now been made irrelevant by Amazon's new 'prior purchase' rules. Every which way has been tried to get around those, but I can assure you that this and all other such methods (even having a personal account at another Amazon site) do not work any longer. You have to have spent the equivalent of at least $50 in the past year at that site before you can post a review.

Yes, it is—I think mainly for those whose 'home' site is amazon.com. Now, when I and others from outside the States do a review we can only post it locally, which usually reaches a much smaller market.

Hi folks! This is a general message to all taking part in this review session.

Due to difficult personal circumstances, David Bergsland is unable to complete his round 2 review of Guy L. Pace’s book Sudden Mission.

Is there anyone who has not reviewed this book, and has not been reviewed by Guy, who would be willing to do an additional review to help David out?

Many thanks!

—Steve.
