Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments What did you think of Ansel's character in general, and her relationships with Mikhail and Celaena in particular?

Lieke | 83 comments She seemed a bit wild and reckless (stealing the horses). But I didn’t expect her to go this far in her actions.
In the beginning I didn’t see this coming at all, but suspicion came during the story.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Yes, she comes across as very reckless at first, but I liked her until I realized that she was sleeping with Mikhail so that she would get special treatment from him. It turned me off her character.

Melissa (melissasd) | 194 comments I really liked Ansel. She was a free spirit who did her own thing and I feel that she really enjoyed Celaena's friendship. I did not suspect Ansel of any wrong doing until Celaena did. I was completely surprised, but then not so much as I looked back at things.

Sometimes things are so much clearer once the truth is revealed :)

I liked the Ansel she presented. She seemed warm, caring and unselfish. The first sign I had of a crack in her armor was when she stole those horses and later when she lashed out at Celaena. Taking those horses seemed way out of character. Her reaction to being teased about her all-nighter with Mikhail was also revealing. It was the first time I saw that she didn’t have romantic feelings for him and I knew she was dangerous. The moment she gave Celaena that drink, I knew she was a traitor. The Mute Master just didn’t operate that way.
