Here on goodreads they have this favorite books option, reflecting what books the member liked. Sometimes a second-long glance just at the color of the favorite books row may tell a lot: white- rose- and neighboring - ya, romance; black, dark blue, grey - thrillers, scifi; black & red - erotica; rainbow - eclectic, lit fic. What do you think? Do genres usually go with colors?

Interesting comment, Nik. In my case, when I look at my covers, I am all over the place. I have one that is black and white - the black so that the person would stand out, the white because it was all snow in the background. But I do have three with some grey, but one was because I used the only grey image available of Miranda (moon of Uranus) and one because it was a pleasant contrast with orange-brown - the colour of Mars. In my case, I think not, but I suppose I can't rule out some subconscious . . . but I try to attract attention with the colour of the cover, so . . . It is just too complicated :-)
