Slip case

I did a quick search but couldn't find an answer

This edition https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... shows the cover coming out of a slipcase. I have never seen a book displayed like this.

Is this correct? If not should I put in delete thread so it can be merged with the first edition hard cover.

Librarian's Manual Cover images uploaded should only be an image of the actual front cover (which will typically have title and author on it), and should not be an image of the art used to later create the book cover.

It seems like it's a special edition, so it should probably remain separate, but the image should really be a scan of just the cover.

As an aside, does anyone know if scans of a slipcase (if it's got some kind of graphic) are acceptable?

Rivka said somewhere in a thread** that (the same) editions shown with and without a slipcase should not be merged, but regarded as ACEs* (which I disagree with, but there you go).

*just as same editions with and without a dustjacket

I guess I have to wait for rivka's advice. This book hasn't got an ISBN on Goodreads.

Then you can just leave it be. Folio Society editions do not have ISBNs either, and if separate entries have been added for an edition showing the cover with and without slipcase they should both stay according to rivka.

Yes, I would have a personal preference for all book cover or just the slip case, but I'll just leave this one alone. :)
