I think I'm mainly not continuing the books because I HATE Kiera Cass. She legitimately acted like a 5 year old with that one reviewer and was extremely disrespectful. I continued the series because I enjoyed it, but I refuse to help her gain any more money or success.
That is true, Riya, but I thought that the ending of The One was kind of cheesy and I think the series might be a little more well rounded if they add two more books. Plus it will be interesting to see what America is like when she's not trying to decide between two boys.
I know that probably wasn't directed at me but I would love the link as well-this stuff is pretty interesting and since I'm such a book nerd, I want to know what's up with the authors.
Here's a helpful summary from the girl who reviewed the Selection and gave it one star: http://www.themidnightgarden.net/2012...

Her review was like legit epic and critic! Although I loved this book in particular (not the whole seires) I can see where the flaws are ever present (in the reviewer's case). Well, I guess everyone has a different insight for the different types of books that they read...:)

Yeah- I also liked the book a lot, but I did like the review on Goodreads simply because she has the right to say what she wants.
I cannot believe how rude and immature Kiera Cass and her agent were! That review was barely showing dislike of the book at all compared to some that I have read (and written!) and even if it was it wouldn't matter because everyone has the right to their own opinion and goodreads is a place where everyone can share theirs. And authors will just have to deal with it, because like it or not, not everyone is going to like your books. No matter what.
I enjoyed the selection series, it wasn't my favorite but it was definitely a good series. Im really interested in reading the next book, im curious to see what it will be like to read a selection from the point of view of Maxon and America's daughter.
I loved the first book (especially Maxon!) I liked the second one, though not as much. And America in the third one made me really mad...
The third one was so forced! It dragged out for way too long, they could've fit it into the second one if they stopped trying add unnecessary plot twists
