I like that Aspen and Lucy ended up together! Aspen dealing with loosing America and Lucy having a hard life them together is perfect!!
During the first two books, I was Team Aspen. But I loved how it turned out in the end! ^-^ America will be the best queen ever!

I will always choose Aspen over Maxon. Not just who is best for America but I just love Aspen. SHE WILL!!

Really???? I think she's kinda weak at times. I mean the way she treated Aspen and Maxon was sometimes dumb/mean.
I mean I think she just respects them. Shes definitely not like America where she would speak her mind but Lucy had a hard time where she worked last so she doesn't want it to happen again. I really like her! Shes so sweet
No she is not weak! She is strong enough to be herself and she's never scared always wanting to help. Shes a great leader and was never weak towards them to me unless she was just being a girl and getting girly towards them
I don't know. I just really didn't get a good vibe from her. I thought that she was a bit petty and just wasn't as unique as the author intended.
don't know if y'all ever watch any of Polandbananabooks reviews on you tube, but I watched her review in the one and it had me laughing the whole time. I loved the selection series a lot, bit america wasostly super annoying. and the review talks about that a lot. she could.never make up her mind, and i would just get so frustrated most of the time. did anyone else feel like that
Maya wrote: "Riya, I totally agree with her. She messed with them both a lot, which isn't fair."I'm glad you agree!!! I did really feel bad for them :(

That is one thing agree on with you haha! It was annoying when she would run to one of them just because the other upset her. Also the time where you could see that the selection changed her. I got pissed!

I Rooted For The Winning Team of The Love Triangle xD
There are very few cases where I would pick the prince in a love triangle. >-< I don't know I'm just not fit for royalty.

Yeah same but Maxon was okay. Aspen is better though(:

I actually didn't care for either of the boys in the first book. However, the reasons I disliked Aspen: The whole food thing in the beginning of book one got to me. Like I get that you want to provide for her, but come on- suck up your pride a bit... Also slightly obsessed with the whole numbers/caste thing
Reasons I liked Maxon: You feel bad for him (the whole mean king thing), he really cares about the country, he cares about America, very cute
I personally think The Selection would have been better if Kiera Cass hadn't tried to make it so obvious that America is the most awesome person ever. I wouldn't be bothered by America if she wasn't meant to be likable. But... she was... and I didn't like her that much. It would be much more fun if all the girls in the Selection were trashy and bitchy and spoiled and if there was more sabotage and catfights. Like, you know, would be more realistic for a competition like that. And I get that the rules are there and that they're supposed to act appropriately, but seriously. If you and a bunch of girls had a chance to be queen, then would you rather risk being thrown out by being boring and following the rules or would you rather play smartly and break the rules to throw girls out without anyone knowing and win?
Amee wrote: "I personally think The Selection would have been better if Kiera Cass hadn't tried to make it so obvious that America is the most awesome person ever. Yeah, like, that's great and all, but it doesn't make you any better than the girls who like to wear pretty dresses??? What happened to femininity being appreciated??? And like. She signed up for a competition to be the next queen. What does she expect? Takeout Chinese food in her bedroom and walking around the castle in her jammies?

If anyone said they had never EVER been mean to anyone or wanted to be mean, they are lying and you can't trust them. Everyone has their inner Celeste. Nobody can deny it.

I have my flaws. I get jealous a lot, I have a fuming temper, and if you make me mad, I will show it. :P
Also, I was bothered by how many times the contestants' boob sizes have been mentioned and used against them like... you can't... control... your boob size... and having big boobs doesn't automatically make you a trashy slut......... although, I was also bothered by Bariel's name. Bariel is such an ugly name, IMO. I mean, what's wrong with Ariel? I don't know where the author got all those weird names. (view spoiler)

Same! I get jealous too much for no reason and I always have a need for pointless revenge

Agreed xD Some names I cannot stand! I know people with names like Princess and Angel (no offense to people with those names) but geez did your parents even think about those names at all. I would automatically think you are a spoiled brat i'm sorry.
@Juliet, same. I don't understand why white people make fun of black girls' names so much, when they come up with stuff like Princess and Precious... I really can't understand...
I personally love black girls' names. I think they're pretty. I really hate it when people say, "Oh you've got a black name" or, "Your name is so ghetto!" Come on people that's rude.
I know! Like, just because it doesn't sound normal to you, it doesn't mean it's ghetto. A lot of those "ghetto" names are actually of African origin with really pretty meanings. So it's really disrespectful to call them ghetto.
Amee wrote: "I personally think The Selection would have been better if Kiera Cass hadn't tried to make it so obvious that America is the most awesome person ever. Like I'm sorry but your characters are just annoying now...

It gets super annoying sometimes, especially if the character isn't awesome to begin with. I had a hard time with Marked because of that...

I LOVED The Selection books, I've been team Maxon forever, but there was a thing I stumbled upon while reading. AMERICA!!! JUST... PICK ALREADY! One boy or the other, not both, it's just not fair. And honestly, Maxon was doing the same. He was kissing almost everybody and America was like; why? and Maxon was like: because! and America was like; ok. And I didn't get that. I also didn't get why she was lying to Maxon the whole time, but whatever. I did like the fact that she was acting rebellious. At least she wasn't one of the brainless girls who just wanted fame/money/power. So in the end, I think The Selection really did mess with her head. But I TOTALLY enjoyed reading the series and I'm meeting Kiera Cass this November and that's soooo awesome. So. Yes. I think this is one of my fav series.

That he would just kiss you and touch you, not anybody else. I absolutely hated America's reaction on Maxon/Celeste moment. She was more surprised than anything. WHY?? I felt like she thought she was the only one that deserved Maxon's love WHEN SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO SHE WANTED YET -_- If I was in her shoes, I wouldn't have over reacted. Geez I would have been jealous/hurt but she made a whole scene out of it. At least I would have saw it coming when I signed up for it anyway.
Amee wrote: "Riya wrote: "Amee wrote: "I personally think The Selection would have been better if Kiera Cass hadn't tried to make it so obvious that America is the most awesome person ever. I wouldn't be bother..."Oh I definitely know what you mean!
Did you guys hear that Kiera Cass is doing 2 more novellas (one about the queen, and one about Marlee). Also she's making 2 more books afterwards which I think are about America and Maxon after the end of the trilogy? So the whole series is just extended...I don't know- I feel like she's kinda milking it for money? I mean you had a nice ending to your trilogy, why do you have to continue that series. I liked where the characters ended so I really don't plan on reading the next ones...
