Chapter 2 Part IV Nathaniel (view spoiler)[ First I love the writing of this story. How they have all lost their way. How the story is told both in present and past and the past slowly tells us why they are lost. This chapter of how Nathaniel lost his eye was heartbreaking. His father is out there and it’s so sad how Nat has to really take care of him. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 2 Part V and VI (view spoiler)[Well you can see that Hayden will only end up wanting Frey’s and not her sister. I think their father is awful for leaving them and starting a new family. I feel so bad for Frey’s who loved her dad so much. Both her sister and mother seem so cold. Harun’s story is so awful too. To be gay and not be able to tell your family. I can’t believe James who lost so much coming out has stayed with Harun for long. He is so biter that Harun won’t tell his family, it could never work. (hide spoiler)]

I'm finished! This book really grabbed my attention. I put aside everything I was reading and listening to because I couldn't put this one down. I read and listened when I was in the car. The book was written in a unique way, following three different characters back and forth from past to present. This was a very emotional read for me, but I loved it. (view spoiler)[I loved all three characters and their story's. How we learned how they lost their way as we went back into their past. I loved how they were brought together for the first time, but seemed to feel connected from the past.

I have to say that Nathaniel's story was the hardest for me. The sense of loneliness he endured had me balling like a baby. Harun's secret of being gay in his family and losing James over it was a tough one too. I really felt for Freya too. I didn't like her mother or sister and her white dress song being about her sister well I just thought her sister didn't deserve it. I'm glad in the end they seemed to make peace with each other. I actually really liked the open ending, where I could believe what I want happens for each of them. It was a very hopefully ending. I also really glad that Nathaniel didn't have to be stopped from jumping off the bridge. He was walking away himself when they got there. Sorry for rambling, but after finishing this one I was an emotional mess. (hide spoiler)]
