Thomas and Catherine give in to their mutual attraction. Was his behavior out of line? What did you think of Jane’s retaliation in reporting him to Marquette? Was she justified?

Tracey (trakka) | 407 comments Another difficult one.... Theoretically, yes he should have waited until the investigation was over (although is that still not ethically correct?) however I was cheering for them :-)

Should Jane have reported him? Once again, theoretically yes but it was done out of spite because he reported her. Would she have if he hadn't.

Matters of the heart can’t be wrong unless it’s prohibited by law. Did their relationship create an ethics issue? Certainly. But look at these two people...she survived a horrible assault and he spent two years mourning his wife. Who wouldn’t want them to find happiness?

Jane’s behavior was punitive and mean spirited. At least Thomas let her know he was going to tell Marquette the truth. She only told him about Thomas and Catherine to pay him back. And, removing Moore hurt them emotionally and put Catherine’s life at risk. This was thoughtless.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2239 comments Yes, it was ethically dubious but they are both consenting adults.

Jane's actions were very spiteful.
