Welcome, Rachel! There are lots of options, so just ask if you need help navigating! Whatever kinds of books you like, you’ll find plenty of kindred spirits here :)
Welcome Rachel ~ I love all the new energy we are getting with all the influx of new members. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone more deeply. I especially love that it is happening right at our celebration of our 15th ~ when we are showing that we are an evolving tapestry. I just love the whole thing.Rachel and new members, jump right in. We have been waiting for you and are excited you are here!
Rachel wrote: "Hi I've just joined Play Book Tag recently and would like to play in 2023, sounds like fun!"Hi Rachel, jump right in.
We have a monthly tag or theme. This month's is food. After you read a book about food post a review.
We also have two official challenges going and one is for our 15th birthday. They can be found here:

We also have an unofficial trim challenge which Amy has been running for several years which gives you a chance to remove books from your tbr:

Welcome, Rachel! Yikes we will have to keep careful track of participation points as I think you are the fourth Rachel in the group. Jump in and have fun with us!
Welcome, Something that confused me for a while -For the book on Food or whatever the Monthly Tag is, it doesn't necessarily have to be tagged Food by a certain number of people, you just have to explain why it fits. But for most of the games, it needs to have at least 5 tags.
This is a great group and actually a community that has meant a lot to many of us.
Thanks so much everyone for the welcome. I’m also doing a read around the world challenge so hoping to read books by authors from various different countries that fit the tags.
Rachel wrote: "Thanks so much everyone for the welcome. I’m also doing a read around the world challenge so hoping to read books by authors from various different countries that fit the tags."Well our current tag of "food" is perfect for an around-the-world (table) adventure!
Welcome Kathleen. I think you have made a few new, best friends, and you’re gonna have a great time. A few of us are reading the 40 rules of love this month.
Welcome, Kathleen! This group will expand your reading horizons for sure! Jump right in and have fun!
Getting back to reading wrote: "Thank you welcoming party! I found a lot of books I own that would fit the tag for adventure. Looking forward to getting back to reading. What a fantastic tag to start with! 🥳"
Hi, Kathleen. We will do our best to get you back into reading and offer you many excellent choices.
Welcome to the group, Kathleen. We are a fun bunch and I hope you will enjoy it here as much as I do.
Should you want to see just how much fun we can be ... check out the Subdue your TBR threads - especially the ones for the monthly rolls - under Activities. I suspect you will be rolling on the floor laughing. Note you might want to start in January roll requests and work forward, just to get the development. Not that I contributed anything to the fun .... 😉
Getting back to reading wrote: "Thanks Theresa for the suggestion. Do I sign up for the July roll requests to start? My TBR thanks you in advance. 😂"
You can join the challenge at any time but you need to post a clerk level board of 100 titles first. Post a query for Anita in the July roll request thread and she will talk you through it. Anita is the long suffering wonderful moderator who is administering the game. And she wrote the rules.
It is an easy one to join at this point.

Welcome to PBT as we call it here! This is a fabulous group that has stayed active for many years due to great mods and camarderie.
Welcome, KT! Many members are audiobook listeners and include that aspect in their review. What genres are your go-to?
KTloves2listen wrote: "Hi, I’m KT and recently started listening to audiobooks. I have loved the different narrations and I tend to spend more time listening both at home and in the car. Excited to join the group and e..."
Welcome KT! Feel free to jump right in to any interesting discussion.
This month our tag is Dragons which is a bit of a stretch for some of us (me), but others love the tag and are rejoicing.
Welcome KT. I love audio too, I'll be interested to seeing your reviews of audios. I listen whenever I get a chance and often get more audio books than print books read in a month. I listen when I walk, garden, cook, quilt, and (with great reluctance) clean house :-)
I love audiobooks too, it's a way to get even more books into my day, while washing dishes, driving, etc. If you aren't already a member, you might like the Audiobooks on GR, where I am one of the Mods. However, for general fun and friendship PBT is the best!
Hello! I’m Kim and am happy to join your group. I found you while looking for a discussion about Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff which I’m currently reading. I enjoy reading all different types of genres and discussing them.

Jump in elsewhere we are a fun group, who of course enjoys reading and talking about books.
We always have a "tag" of the month which represents top shelves on Goodreads. The up-coming tag for November is Dragons which some of us are thrilled about. Of course you can read and review whatever books you read.

Hello! My name is Kim and I’ve just joined your group. Looking for an active group that likes to read all different genres. I’m currently reading 14 Days, with a pile next to my bed of TBR.
Welcome, Kim! We're going to have to keep track of which Kim is which here. Jump right in and have fun with us, this group is great for expanding your reading horizons.
Welcome Kim! We are really fun bunch. I still look forward to getting to know you and reading your reviews.
annapi wrote: "Welcome, Kim! We're going to have to keep track of which Kim is which here. Jump right in and have fun with us, this group is great for expanding your reading horizons."Thanks! For your February theme I’ve read All The Sinners Bleed by SA Crosby - all of his books are excellent. I’m currently reading 14 Days and will happily jump into the discussion of Demon Copperhead if that’s chosen in March.

A group of us read All Sinners Bleed this month and would love to have you join in with your opinion. Here's the link to the thread:

I just read All the Sinners Bleed - and read Razorblade Tears last year. Brilliant and brutal! Cosby has become one of my favorite authors.
Welcome! I love fantasy. We need another Fantasy person around here, glad to have you! And you are one of the few who I know, who have read Eddigs! Wasn't it great? If you like him, you should try Magic Casement by Dave Duncan - I am ready to start the third book in that one
Since you binge read, when you start it let me know and I can wait to read #3 when you get there-not a problem I have a huge pile to read. Going to send you a friend request!
