Frank W Butterfield (frankwbutterfield) | 22 comments I need a new series created called "A Nick & Carter Short Story."

Then I need three titles moved from an existing series, "A Nick & Carter Romance" to this new series.

Those titles are:

1. Valentine's Day, 1951 - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

2. Mardi Gras, 1975 - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

3. St. Patrick's Day, 1945 -
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

This might need to be posted elsewhere, so let me know, but title #3 above (St. Patrick's Day) was filed under this author: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

It needs to be moved to this author: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Let me know if there is anything else you need from me.

Thanks so much!!
Frank W. Butterfield

Hugo (hugo_nebula) | 730 comments Hi, Frank.

I've added the period to your initial which was necessary for St Patrick's Day to show up on your Profile. The 'other author' was simply an automatic Profile set up as Goodreads did not recognise the misspelled name.

As to the Series question, I'd mention that any stories featuring at least the Nick Williams character can be kept in the main Nick Williams Mystery series or grouped into an inclusive Nick & Carter series, as explained in the Manual - https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/4... We can set up and edit either for you, I just wanted to make you aware of the option.

Frank W Butterfield (frankwbutterfield) | 22 comments Thanks so much, Hugo.

The short story series is distinct from the main mystery series. The mystery series (A Nick Williams Mystery) is written in first-person POV, are either novels or novellas, and are mysteries. The short stories are written with a variety of different POVs, are all short stories, and are not mysteries. Also, I have specifically marked them as their own series. And, the main mystery series is in chronological order while the short stories bounce around in time.

They really do need to sit on their own.

Let me know if there's anything else you need from me.

Thanks so much!

Okay. I'll leave this tab open and check back later (it's one in the morning here and I need to go to bed).

Unless another Librarian wants to jump in, I'll get onto this early tomorrow.

Hugo (hugo_nebula) | 730 comments Good morning, Frank. (I say morning, I'm about to have lunch!)

I've created A Nick & Carter Short Story as a Series here -
https://www.goodreads.com/series/2297...

If you click on each Series, you'll see the results, but give it a little while for the cache to clear and this Series will appear correctly on your Profile.
