Jem or Alec?

This is a very random question, but I wanted to know if you guys like Alec (from TMI) or Jem from (TID) better??

Idk, I kinda like Alec because he’s so . . . sweet but Jem is so respectful and kind . . . . ahhh help
I honestly can't choose Nor do I ever want to haha
How will I ever be able to choose between these two?I loved Alec in TMI and I loved Jem in TDI. Both are precious.
And love both in the TDA, even if they only have small parts there.
When I first started in the shadowhunter world I hated Alec bc he was always rude and straight to the point and was mean to Clary. But he grew on me, and when i finished TMI I loved him as a character. On the other hand I loved Jem from the first time I met him. He was always a sweet heart and a caring person to Tessa this just melted my heart. So if I had to choose between the two I would say I like Jem a little more then Alec. But this is only by a small margin bc Alec became one of my fav characters.
Oh my gosh. I don't know if I could ever choose. I always likes Alec for his straight forward. Also, him being loyal to his family and friends. There is also, the awkwardness at first to Magnus.But then there is Jem. He was always kind heart. Always loyal to his friends and family. Do anything for the name in love.
So, I could never choose between the two. They are both amazing caring guys. So, how could you choose.
Jem has always been my favorite Shadowhunter.
Alec I never really liked Jem as much as everyone else did
It's a tough one...I have always been drawn to both of them, but I think I really like Alec a little bit more.

Alec, cuz I acquainted with him first. He's my elder brother. So yeah, I kind of have to side with him on this matter.
Both are incredibly loyal and skilful. I can't choose!

I am SO NOT ABLE TO MAKE SUCH A DECISION. You know how it is picking a favourite child? I imagine that's how it is. Alec was my first love in the books, but Jem is probably my ride or die so... Jem. I'm just glad the option wasn't between Magnus and Jem, then, well, you'd all be hearing me cry around the world. Oops.
I'm leaning more towards the Alec option

Well, for starters he hated Clary when she first visited the institute, and also because he is kinda desparate when magnus breaks up with him
I love them both but if I had to choose it would be James.
Isla, doesn't that make for good character growth. He is desperate because it was his first love and he doesn't want to give up on it and also partially because he wants to explain himself.But whatever I'm not about to start another argument.

Off topic question but....Speaking of is anyone upset that she kills of every Lightwood in every separate section. Like one in TID, TMI, TDA. It angers me so much. I know she said there are a lot of Lightwoods still alive, but still. I absolutely hated and now she's giving us shit for assuming the pattern (that Alec might get killed off)
Lightwood are my favourite family and I think it is absolute bs
i hadnt noticed that. although gideon probably died of old age, it's still a death. my favourite family is the herondales

I don't know. I like them both for different reasons. Alec is so sarcastic at times but also sweet. Where as Jem is so kind and loving. And a old school gentlemen!

I love them both alot it's really hard to choose but I have to say jem I think he's an interesting character
Jem. He is probably my favourite character in the shadow hunter chronicles. probably due to him being in so many books (like literally almost all of them. either as Jem or as Brother Zachariah). it really builds his character.
