The Immortalists The Immortalists question

How do our values and beliefs shape who we are as individuals and influence our behavior?

In The Immortalists I believe the character that is best connected to this question is Simon because of his drastic differences from his family and friends. He has changed a lot since he was first introduced to us, now in his 20's. Moved to California and found himself attracted to the same sex, dances at a club, sleeps around and lives life carelessly in many ways. These values did not always exist so now his behavior is a lot different from those he had as a teenager.
