I absolutely loved this book, and the film. I do not need an english language version. Either way it would have to be European or the beauty of the Saab vs Volvo would be entirely lost.

No one has mentioned Lithgow yet. He would be very good. A talented guy who can play a number of different roles.

I agree that Harrison Ford would be a good choice, better than Hanks; however, I believe Tom Hanks is the chosen one for the movie.
