The Narrow Edge, by Deborah Cramer pg.293
The Narrow Edge was the winner of the 2016 Rachel Carson Environment Book Award, it is a nonfiction book about a species of birds called red knots, and their amazing 19,000 mile migration path from South America to the Arctic. Along their journey they face many challenges and many of which are being magnified by global climate change and other environmental issues. This species has been newly listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. I found this was a very interesting and inspiring book about the tragic effects global climate change is having not only on the environment but us humans too.
I would give this book 3 stars. I would not usually read this kind of book but, I found it surprisingly interesting. Though it was also rather long and confusing at points.
