I echo many of your feelings. The narrative seems meandering to me. Important things are brought up then let drop. Stories and characters follow each other fast and move on before being given their due. Stuff is underexplained and becomes therefore implausible (Achyut? What was that? Couldn’t Ranjana and Harit meet in a simpler and faster way?) I love Blue Boy without reservation, and think this book may suffer from second book syndrome. Don’t let this book dissuade you from reading Blue Boy!
