She smiled a little when she stepped into his room and realized it was perfect. 'Definitely put it in here,' she signed.

She stood back to make sure he hung it up straight. Now that it was hanging, she wished it had a frame....but did canvas ever have frames? She assumed so, but that would have to be a thick frame for the canvas she'd used.
'So, Are you up to go for a little bit longer of a walk. I have something for you. An early holiday gift.'
He motioned for her to wait while he went into his closet and came out with a haphazardly wrapped gift.
'I've never been good at making things pretty.'

Her eyes widened a little when he brought out a wrapped gift. 'You didn't have to get me anything,' she signed, but was grinning because it was really sweet of him. As poorly as the present was wrapped....it was one of the prettiest things she'd ever seen.
Dev smiled at her. 'Go ahead.' Inside was a pair of warm gloves so that she could sign to him in the winter time. He knew that she didnt wear mittens if she was with him.

Hannah opened it up and then resisted the urge to be disappointed. It wasn't that she expected more or didn't like them, it was just that she hated gloves. So still, she smiled. It wasn't until she picked them up out of the box that she realized they were actually really thin and almost silky while still being obviously warm. Curious, she pulled one on and tested it. The glove didn't give her that awful stiff and bloated feeling in her fingers that she normally got. 'Thank you,' she signed, a more genuine smile on her face. 'These are perfect.'

Hannah smiled happily and went over to hug him as a better thank you. It had been really thoughtful of him to pick the ones her fingers would really be able to move in.

Hannah hugged him tightly before letting go and pulling her other glove on as well. 'Yes, we definitely should go on a longer walk,' she signed, smiling again because she realized it felt like she wasn't even wearing gloves aside from the warmth.

She looked at him in surprise, but then nodded. 'Alright, please,' she signed and then held her hand out to him so they could walk together.
Dev took her hand and held the door open for her so she could go out first before he locked it behind them.
((ALrighty then))
Dev led her down the path for sometime. There wasn't much plant life around anymore since it was winter and there was snow on the ground, but everything had its own beauty.
Instead of staying on the path, he led her down a hidden track that only had one set of footprints on it.

Hannah stayed with him, looking around at the scenery as she let him tug her along. Even without foliage, the place looked so pretty. Really, she loved winter, even if it made her so cold she would freeze.
The further they went, the more surrounded they became by large Evergreens and Juniper trees. It looked like a christmas tree forest, minus the lights and ornaments.

She smiled as she looked around at the snow topped trees. It felt almost like Christmas that way, and she liked it, though it was a reminder that she hadn't gotten a present for her brother yet.
They came to an area that could be considered as a clearing inside a ring of trees. In the center was an empty stone arch, but as they approached, a mist seemed to fill it, changing colors in a flowing way.

Hannah frowned a little in confusion as she noticed the arch. What was it? She looked up to Dev questioningly, but said nothing because she assumed he would explain or the arch and mist would explain itself.
Before they stepped onto the stones surrounding the arch, Dev paused.
'I found this a little while ago but I wasn't sure what it was. And well, I wasn't sure I had figured it out until something happened....' he was rambling as he signed. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out what looked like a self-made ring with a sea green gem wrapped in wire.

Hannah watched his hands, her eyebrows knitting together as she tried to put together what he was saying. Luckily she had practice since Siri signed a lot the same way. Still, she looked in surprise at the ring he pulled out. 'It's really pretty. Does that have something to do with this place?'
Bart nodded and gestured for her to follow. 'Over here. I found the stones and thought of you. So I had Desi show me how to make it into a ring for you. When I came back here," he said pointing at the arch, 'the mist appeared. But not when I didn't bring the ring. I think the stone is the key.'

"Well, when I approached the mist, I saw my parents. And they talked to me," Dev said. "I wanted you to meet them."

Hannah's eyes widened a little, not sure how to reply to that. She smiled a little. 'That sounds really nice.'
"You have to put on the ring and then we'll walk up together," He said, holding his hand out to her.

She nodded, figuring that made sense. She gave him her right hand, but then pulled it back because she remembered she had to take the glove off or else it likely wouldn't fit on her finger.
He smiled at her, figuring that she might need to do that. He stepped onto the stones and immediately felt warm.
((She is the one wearing the ring so they won't see his parents.))

Hannah twisted the ring a little on her finger since the metal was cold. Then she followed him closely, figuring he knew what he was doing.
As they got closer, the mist began to change color and slowly faded to the sea green color of the ring.
'Stand right here,' he signed to her. 'Then they will appear.'

She stood right where he told her to, a little nervous for some reason. The last time she'd met someone's parents it hadn't turned out so well, but they also weren't quite as important as his parents were, so she was all the more nervous on that count.
((aww she thinks they're more important. than the king and queen im assuming haha))
It seemed like a new scene appeared before them inside the arch. Two people wer walking closer to them but they were quite blurry. However, when Dev saw that the woman had dark flowing hair he immediately knew that these weren't his parents.
He tensed slightly, unsure whether to apologize. But instead, he put his arm around her gently in case she needed him.

Hannah's nervous smile started to disappear as the recognition of the two blurry figures inside the arch grew. She looked up to Dev momentarily, and judging by the look on his face, they weren't his parents. Which meant.....they really were hers. She swallowed, the nervousness in her quadrupling. She didn't know what to do or feel or.... if they could really see her, what would they think of her now? Tears threatened to well up but she fought them back as best she could, certainly not wanting to cry.
Squeezing her reassuringly, he nodded so that she knew it was okay.
'They won't hurt you. We can go if you want.'

She shook her head. 'I don't want to go,' she signed, chewing on her lip. She barely even looked away from them, her mind reeling with this before her.
The image in the mist cleared and Cassandra and Atlas were completely visible. They stopped at the arch and looked at Hannah, both with love and longing.

Hannah teared up a little then, despite her efforts. She hadn't seen her parents in over sixteen years and now seeing them again made all the time she'd been quietly missing them just slam her in the chest.
"Don't cry pup. Let me see how you've grown," Atlas' voice said inside her ear, like the way they communicated in their wolf-form. Cassandra held her husbands hand, near tears herself. "Oh, Hannah."
Dev heard nothing.

Hannah wiped one eye, a small half laugh-cry escaping her throat. "I didn't grow much," she answered, not sure how she could really process this. "I'm still pretty small..."
Inside the drapes were pulled over most of the windows.
