Jensen (jensen8) | 1 comments Heyy all! I'm Jensen (she/her), 21 y/o Swedish bi gal and friendly neighborhood himbo who is trying to get into reading something that isn't CS course lit haha. Came here looking for guidance and picked up Gideon the Ninth because of y'all, so I'm feeling hopeful already.

I'm a huge sci-fi nerd so if anyone has any space-y recs, please send them my way!

Hope everyone is doing good and taking care of themselves. <3

I'm new to the group and also new to goodreads, I just downloaded it this year to complete the challenge and I´m loving it. I enjoy reading but tbh i haven´t read much queer books and I would love to so that´s why I joined. I also love cats, music, poetry and art in general, looking forward to all your recommendations. Have a great day :)

wallflower | 4 comments Hey. My name is Jacqueline, but you can also call me Jax. My pronouns are she/her. I am a twenty-three-year-old bisexual femme from Brooklyn, NY. I haven't read too many sapphic books, but I would love some recommendations. Really just looking to be around other women like me. I love poetry, classical literature, comic books, fantasy and historical fiction and these days, I have developed an interest in books by Japanese writers. Their themes are so artistic. I am also a musician- mainly a classical violinist but also a violist and singer- a roleplayer, a rollerskater, and of course, a geek. Lol 😊 Looking forward to being a part of this group.

I’m really interested in good sapphic or other queer books and mostly like fantasy books, but contemporary ones have been growing on me.

I’m new to Goodreads as well so I don’t quite know what I’m doing but any recs would be lovely and I’d love to get to know some people on here :)

message 314: by Emma (new)

Emma Roo | 1 comments Hello All,

I'm Roo (she/her) from the UK. Currently aiming to read 50 LGBTQ+ books this year so I am very much looking for some good recommendations. I am 4 books in so on track thus far for hitting my target.

I love nothing more than curling up with a cup of tea, cozy blanket, my dogs and a good book (and the occasional true crime podcast!). When I'm not reading or at work, I'm usually found up a hill somewhere on an adventure with my wife and dogs.

message 315: by literarygay (new)

literarygay | 1 comments hi i’m keith! my pronouns are he/her/they, i’m 19 and unlabeled! :) i’m coming off a 2 year long reading slump so i can’t say i have any fav books atm but i’ve really enjoyed the girl and the sea!! i’m currently reading legendborn and afterwards i’m going to be starting my arc of the lesbiana’s guide to catholic school!! feel free to add me if you feel like it 💜

message 316: by Grayson (new)

Grayson Sinclair Hi I'm Grayson. I have a whole list of nicknames you can use: Gray, G-ray, Ray, Gray-Gray, G, Giraffe, Gundam, and Baked Bean. If you have suggestions I will consider them. I use they/them or he/him pronouns and would say I identify as pansexual, polyamorous, and genderfluid between male and nonbinary. I am 14 and am currently reading Opposite of Always and The Book of Snakes (it's a book with photos of snakes and information that is really interesting). I don't only read sapphic books but I love them a lot. I also really like dried fruits, 90's/80's alternative rock, overalls, and musicals. I'm going into high school next year so any advice about that would be helpful for me.

message 317: by chelle (new)

chelle q-h | 1 comments Hello everyone! My name’s Michelle. I’m twenty and my pronouns are she/her. I’m new to the group & I’m relatively new to Goodreads even though I’ve made the account months ago. Since the pandemic started, I haven’t had the motivation to read, but now I’m excited to get back into reading. My current favorite sapphic books are :
- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reids
- Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta
- Ophelia After All by Raquel Marie
I’m really excited to be apart of this group! Have a nice day!!💕

message 318: by hannah (new)

hannah | 1 comments I’m Hannah! I’m a bit of an audiophile, an artist, and a biology major. Ologies is my all time fave podcast and it completely changed my trajectory in life. I swing more toward shoujo ai manga, manhwa, and anime, but I also have ADHD and am really trying to branch out and try reading more “real” books to work on my attention span. Come to me for shoujo ai recs though! I have read more than I can keep track of.

I love Björk, Frank Zappa, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joanna Newsom, manga, musicals, all things science, and I love building model kits, like Lego or Gundam. I need friends lmao :-p

message 319: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 2 comments Hey! My name is Hannah my pronouns are she/her and I am a 21 year old lesbian. I am new to good reads. I just started getting into sapphic books (I thank TikTok). A few of my other favorite genres include adult, fantasy and sifi.

A few of my current favorite sapphic reads include:
- A Love Story Starring My Best Friend by Emily Horner
- Compass Rose by Anna Burke
- Charon Docks at Daylight by Zoe Reed
- Alone by E.J. Noyes

I am excited to be part of this group!
Also, feel free to add me as a friend, I would love the book recommendations from your libraries.

message 320: by Riley (new)

Riley Taylor | 3 comments Hi there, I'm Riley!

I'm 26, a nonbinary lesbian, and forever struggling to find sapphic books that I genuinely enjoy.

Recent reads:

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston (which brought me back to reading for fun!)
All the Bad Apples by Moira Fowley-Doyle
Honey Girl by Morgan Rodgers (Which I was so upset to see so many people dislike! It has my favorite trope, and I devoured it in a day.)
She Drives me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen
Love and Other Carnivorous Plants by Florence Gonsalves (Which I barely finished, but did enjoy.)
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Originally abandoned, but currently waiting to check out of the library and try again.)

Unfortunately, my abandoned list seems longer than my finished list..

message 321: by bilge (new)

bilge (strwbryblush) | 3 comments hi!! im bilge, (she/her) and im a 16 year old lesbian.
i unfortunately cant read many sapphic books because lgbtq+ books dont really get translated into my language since my country is very homophobic and i cant afford to buy them in english, but i managed to read seven husbands of evelyn hugo, she drives me crazy and hani and ishu's guide to fake dating. i loved all of them but hani and ishu is probably my favorite.
i also love watching cartoons with queer rep such as shera and the owl house.
i would love to become friends especially if your age is close to mine! :))

message 324: by Tirzah (new)

Tirzah (tearsofjoy) | 2 comments Hello everyone!

My name is Tirzah and I use She/Her pronouns. I’m 26 and I live pretty much on the internet. I’m addicted to tiktok and books. Of all the books I’ve read, I loved the Priory of the Orange Tree even though it was a behemoth to get through at the beginning.

For connecting outside of goodreads, you can find me on most social media other than Twitter. The top three I’m most active on are tiktok, Pinterest, then Instagram.

My insta & Pinterest handle: love_tirzahjoy
Tiktok: lovely_lubbly

Don’t be shy! I’m always open to making new friends! 💕 My DM’s are always open. 🥰

j a n a *:・゚✧*:・゚✧ | 1 comments Hi everyone (: I’m Jana and so happy be here <3
I spent majority of time with my nose stuck in a book. I use she/her pronouns and read pretty much every genre but got into queer books last year as they helped me come to terms with my own identity. Beside reading I spent my days listening to podcasts or music and watching silly vlogs on youtube with a cup of tea. I haven’t read many wlw books (something I want to change in the future) so my recs gonna be basic:

-The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo
-Any book by Alice Oseman
-Cinderella is dead

I’m always open for new recs!

I’m in high school so I’m a little busy and don’t get to do as much read as I would like. TW: DYSPHORIA

Quite a bit ago I decided I was comfortable with being called both Charlie and Basil but I've discovered that being called Basil makes me dysphoric so being called just Charlie would be better. Thank you for the understanding!

If you liked Crier's War I recommend Sweet & Bitter Magic! It wasn't as good but it's also enemies to lovers and fantasy. Ooh and also This Is How You Lose the Time War!!

I read SFF from marginalised perspectives, particularly sapphic stuff, and try to write bite-sized reviews (I have a large backlog for anyone interested)

Some favourite SFF:F/F reads: Each of Us a Desert, Tiger's Daughter, Gearbreakers, Plain Ban Heroines, Siren Queen
