Hello, I am new here, don't want to break any rules. I am Jane Brooke, 23 year old Brit, lesbian savage writer of bi and lesbian erotica. After publishing 12 erotica novels world wide at between 17 and 20 years old, because of health I stopped, cancer of the vocal cords. Healed now 3 years later, I have a new lesbian film noir BDSM and Bondage crime erotica novel out Vegas Savages, reviews just coming out. Released in japan, Europe USA and India, well it touched a nerve in India, where sales are booming as well as five star reviews by their gay female populace. Please don't scold me if I break any rules I don't mean to, Thank you Jane.

But I love fantasy and YA books, and my favorite sapphic books are probably Leah on the Offbeat and Girls of Paper and Fire.

Abby (abbysneddon) | 2 comments Hi all! My name is Abby and I identity as queer/bisexual. My pronouns are she/her. I’m a writer, working with my best friend on our WIP, a YA fantasy featuring a sapphic relationship. I’m like the epitome of chaotic bi and while most people don’t want to be defined by their sexuality, I fit the stereotype so well that it’s the main thing that describes me 😂. I’ve made it my goal to read mostly LGBTQ reads each month and I’m excited to find more!

message 218: by Aurélie (new)

Aurélie DeLaFlotte | 3 comments Hello I am Aurélie and I am working in performing arts, especially dance. I am new to sapphic books in English so I have not read many. But I have a wonderful English guide who is trying to educate me - this means that much of the titles are sci-fi and fantasie! To now I have read these books:

the long way to a small angry planet
The Lily and the Crown
The Misseducation of Cameron Post
The Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics

And I have recommended Thérèse et Isabelle by Violette Leduc (the full version): a very old book but the language is so poetic.

U.K. gay girl currently working my way through the Discworld series.

My favourite sapphic story is Tipping the Velvet, it changed my life when I fist read it as a teenager, hiding it under my pillow from my parents so I could stealthily read it at night. I still keep any books I’m currently reading under my pillow and I’m now 35!

I love fantasy and historical fiction, so if anyone has any wlw fantasy book recommendations let me know!

message 238: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi everyone! I'm Comet, a 20 year old, non-binary, sapphic politics major who somehow slowly regained (or at least trying to regain) their reading habits after years during quarantine. Because of a conservative family and country, I didn't get to read many queer/sapphic books, but I am determined to as long as I can get my hands on books!

So far I have read Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid as far as books that center wlw and I enjoyed them both a lot! I can't wait to see characters that are like me in more books!

Some of my favorite sapphic books:
- She Drives Me Crazy
- Her Royal Highness (the first sapphic book I ever read)
- The Henna Wars
- She's Too Pretty to Burn
- Ruinsong

I like bittersweet stories featuring queer characters, and soft tales. I love seeing casually queer stories than with books featuring romance as a main focus, so lemme know of any recs. As for my rec, I am currently reading A Memory Called Empire and it's so good!

message 248: by Karthika (new)

Karthika (karthebi) Hi, you can refer to me as Bulb and I go by moon/moonself, night/nightself and sky/skyself pronouns but using 'they' is fine too.

Just got on Goodreads yesterday because I am currently reading 15 books and I want to keep track, been doing a lot of that this month to keep my anxiety at bay. And stumbled on this group. Sapphic representation is so important!!

Looking forward to reading the lovely recommendation and discussing it even!

Hey Chloe and welcome hehe! I also really like reading other queer books (but still, when there's sapphics somewhere I'm usually far more interested, because... sapphics).
What tropes/genres are you usually interested in? If you're into graphic novels and gays in space I would recommend On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden
Some of my favourites include Last Night at the Telegraph Club, The Girls I've Been, The Falling in Love Montage and Radio Silence (and so many more but that list would be way too long lol :))
Now I hope you have a great day and stay safe 😊🧡
