Yes. That is correct.

You know how to add a book/author link, right? Well, right next to it, you'll see ''some html is ok''. Click it and a small window will open. There you'll find link formats. One of them is <.a href="https://www.goodreads.com".>my link text<./a.> (I used stops . to make sure this doesn't become a link. Do remove them before using this.) You can copy it and then type the word you want in place of ''my text link'' and you can paste the url of the site you want it to open between the quotation marks in place of https://www.goodreads.com.

I hope this makes sense.

Susy (susysstories) Hi, I have a question. Why do the books that didn’t make it for the April buddy reads go to June instead of May? There’s still time...

message 59: by Saarah (new)

Saarah Niña (saarahnina) | 197 comments Maybe it was a typo on Aqsa's updates

message 60: by Aqsa, Dracarys! (last edited Mar 17, 2019 01:12PM) (new)

Aqsa (her_747) | 10619 comments Mod
It's not a typo guys. Nominations for a new month (e.g. May nominations in this case) ideally start on 1st of every month (I was late this month and I'm sorry for that) and the Nominations for the upcoming month (April in this case) end on 15th of the previous month (15th March here). Poll takes at least 3 days, so results are announced by 17th or 18th of the month in which case the nominations of the upcoming month are already half-way through (17 days since May nominations begun) and I think the books (new ones nominated by members and these) have a better chance if they are introduced in the beginning of the nomination process.

Hope this is helpful :)

message 61: by Susy (new)

Susy (susysstories) Ah I see Aqsa. Thank you for the explanation.
I do think though that the books would have a better chance if they could be chosen the next month instead of skipping a month (I know I won’t be waiting that long to read it or if that weren’t a problem, I’d just rather wait and see what other books would make the poll).
Or maybe it’s an idea to just forget about taking the “losing” books to next month. I mean, one could nominate the book again right?

message 62: by Aqsa, Dracarys! (last edited Mar 17, 2019 01:12PM) (new)

Aqsa (her_747) | 10619 comments Mod
The books can still be nominated in the next month without skipping it. It's really up to the members. In that case, it might be removed from the list of books that'll be automatically renominated. This procedure was kept as a reminder.

Yes, one could. I think we had a poll on this and most members opted for having them again. We do, however, write a zero next to the book and it isn't counted unless someone seconds it.

Hope it was helpful :)

Susy (susysstories) Cool, thx Aqsa (for your advice ánd your patience) , it does help! ☺️

Dee (mandeepkaur3) | 91 comments Hey Aqsa. I have a question. I haven't been much active in this group this year since I had a lot of study to do. But now my exam are going to get over on 30th of March and I would like to participate in some challenges. So I wanted to ask that do we need to be a participant of Genre Round, Colour Challenge and A Theme a Month challenge from beginning of the year or can we start it now from April??

message 70: by Aqsa, Dracarys! (new)

Aqsa (her_747) | 10619 comments Mod
You can start it from April, even December. So no worries :) Only monthly challenges are locked every month. Yearly challenges can be joined anytime. You can also update your progress for the previous months if you read the books meeting their criteria in the specified months. Hope this was helpful :)

Good luck for the remaining exams!

Susy (susysstories) Hello dear mods, I have a problem I hope you can help me out with. I’ve added my third book to the groups challenge (specific shelf I’ve made) but my total is still 2. What am I doing wrong?

Hey Susy, that is strange, it should have worked when you added it to your specific shelf. What book was it that cannot be added ?

I guess I'm not sure which challenges are to be completed during the months. Since Aqsa was the one who ran those
but I'll look into it and since it is early October Maybe I could squeeze a special challenge in:)

Thank you for being at it for so long, even if I don't really care or interact with the group, I just want to know it Does matter. Because I know you're out there (and multiplying as far as I can tell). Long live the Tinkerbells and their friends. Peace. Love. Jim Carrey.
