i give this book a 5 out of 5 stars because it teaches you about the time era of racism and diversity, it also shows a lot about growing up. It talks about Atticus (a main character) growing up to older people and having problems as a child. Then there is another phase of his life where he learns to mature and understand racism in his town. With his father being a lawyer for black people he sees the struggle in defending. This is a good book because it shows a perspective of being a child and growing up while living in a very different era then now where racism isn't as bad and where people can be defended more easily no matter the color of their skin. and that is the reason i like this book.
