Don't feel silly Molly. I also thought Caroline was a ghost. So horrible and incredibly selfish to let Anna think both of her parents committed suicide.
I just have more questions now that I know she is alive. Where was she staying? Does Billy know?
Did they stage the suicides because the business is failing or something to do with Mark or the neighbour?
I really don't like Mark.

When Caroline was making such a fuss about the neighbor's construction, I had a feeling there would be a body in the backyard., but I actually thought it would end up being Laura's mom. (I must read too many thrillers.)

I agree with you, Molly and Geri. Out of all of the crazy twists and turns, the one thing that is unbelievable is that Anna didn't realize her parents drank & fought too much until she went to university. No way is that possible. Even if she didn't know the extent of the issue, in today's world she had to at least have an idea. (hide spoiler)]

Now I am going to have to finish this one tonight. There is no way I could stop here.

Part 3 (chapter 55 to end)
(view spoiler)[Wow. Talk about a frenzied, intense end! I think the car chase scene was a over the top.

I was completely heartbroken when Sarah died! I thought that couple was finally okay. Poor Murray, but I'm glad he had good memories at the end and decided to travel.

I'm not sold on Laura pushing Caroline. The last letter to Anna could just be a taunt, or a manipulative tactic since Anna is going to testify against her. Laura was a lot more bitter and disturbed than we were shown in her interactions with Anna throughout the story, so now that she is on trial for murder who knows what she is capable of. Overall I liked the book. 4 stars. Mackintosh does a great of keeping the reader guessing, building suspense and creating flawed characters that keep me fully engrossed. I think I like I See You a little better, but I would absolutely still recommend this one to people who like a good suspense thriller.

I liked this one but no where near as much as the first two books she wrote. I didn't find this one as suspenseful. It didn't move as fast for me so 3 stars.
I'm happy that Anna decided not to marry Mark and realized that if it wasn't for the baby they wouldn't be together.
Sarah's death was very sad, like Brooke I thought Sarah was moving forward and getting better but I guess we should have known better as not once did Murray tell Sarah he was going to retire. He so deserved the commendation.

Brooke I had to re- read the Laura/Caroline/ Anna scene right before the police came in. Caroline didn't jump, nor did Laura push her, she wasn't beside her. It was Anna and Laura saw her. Talk about a plot twist! How is a reader supposed to like the main charater who does something so horribly wrong? The ending was very well done. (hide spoiler)]
