Inconsistencies in the Sherlock Holmes Canon

There are several discrepancies in the American publications. As for TWIS, in William Baring-Gould's very ambitious attempt to put all of the tales in chronological order in his "Annotated Sherlock Holmes", he dates it in '87 (when June 19 would have been a Sunday) rather than '89."As to your dates, that is the biggest mystification of all." The Adventure of the Creeping Man

Did you ever notice that Helen Stoner is called Miss Roylott once in the American versions of the stories? Or that 19 June 1889 actually is a Wednesday in 'The Man With the Twisted Lip?
