Did you ever notice that Helen Stoner is called Miss Roylott once in the American versions of the stories? Or that 19 June 1889 actually is a Wednesday in 'The Man With the Twisted Lip?

There are several discrepancies in the American publications. As for TWIS, in William Baring-Gould's very ambitious attempt to put all of the tales in chronological order in his "Annotated Sherlock Holmes", he dates it in '87 (when June 19 would have been a Sunday) rather than '89.
