"BALL UP!" - Val's 2018 Aussie Rules Footy Tipping *Open to Everyone*

Qualifying and Elimination Finals:
(Qualifying: loser gets a second chance)
(Elimination: loser is out of the Finals)
This time I'd like you to choose the winning team AND the margin for ALL FOUR GAMES. Scoring will be one point for every winner picked and a sliding table based on the margins predicted for each game. There will (hopefully) be one winning punter after all games have been played. $15.00 to your charity is up for grabs.
If anyone would like to view the AFL Ladder before submitting next week's tips, it's at
http://www.afl.com.au/ladder
WeeK 1 of the Finals fixtures:
Thursday, Sept 6
First Qualifying Final
Richmond Tigers (Philip) v Hawthorn Hawks (unwanted) at the M.C.G., Melbourne
Friday, Sept 7
First Elimination Final
Melbourne Demons (TheFoe) v Geelong Cats (awaiting MC) at the M.C.G., Melbourne
Saturday, Sept 8
Second Elimination Final
Sydney Swans (Anita) v Greater Western Sydney Giants (Duke) at the S.C.G., Sydney
Saturday, Sept 8
Second Qualifying Final
West Coast Eagles (Sussex) v Collingwood Magpies (Tech) at Optus Stadium, Perth
If punters could lodge their tips by midnight WEDNESDAY (your time) SEPTEMBER 5th it would be a great help, although I can accept them up until 10.15am THURSDAY (your time) if absolutely necessary.

Blastro (Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation) - A$6.00 (closest margin)

Happy Birthday Foe! All the best bud.

We need confirmation and proof of this ...

Probably be forgetting my own next in any case so that'll solve this issue. : )

2.2.14 (Q1) 2.3.15
5.7.37 (Q2) 3.5.23
10.13.73 (Q3) 5.8.38
13.17.95 (Q4) 9.10.64
Conditions were wet and slippery but the Tigers look unstoppable. Hawthorn threw everything at them but they are such a strong unit, it was all to no avail. The Tigers have earned a week off while Hawthorn live to fight another day. They will play next week against the winner of the Cats/Demons game. Deano was spot on with his prediction of 31 but this week's winner is determined by the results over all four games, so a long way to go yet.
Congratulations to our birthday boys! I knew Blastro's was coming up but didn't realise you were so close together.

And an even more belated Happy Birthday from me :)

Melbourne Demons (TheFoe) v Geelong Cats (awaiting MC)
5.3.33 (Q1) 0.2.2
5.9.39 (Q2) 2.4.16
6.13.49 (Q3) 3.8.26
10.15.75 (Q4) 6.10.46
Another fiercely contested game. Melbourne never looked like losing but, at the same time, they never seemed to quite shake Geelong. Both teams made elementary mistakes (especially when kicking for goal) but the Dees were a safe bet from the first bounce. So it's season over for Geelong and the Dees will front up against Hawthorn next weekend.
Deano is still looking good but Anita is hot on his tail.

I'm 44, RedJohn, & I can say from my experience, time speeded up years ago!

I can't quite believe that I'll be 60 in April. My brain thinks I'm about 30 and on Sunday, I'm due to play my first league game for a veterans (over 35) football team that I've recently joined :-)

1.4.10 (Q1) 2.3.15
2.4.16 (Q2) 4.7.31
Can I stand the excitement of another two quarters? Well, here we go.....
A further winner is Philip. Jack Riewoldt of the Tigers won his third Coleman Medal with 65 goals in 2018, holding off North Melbourne’s Ben Brown, who finished the year with 61. So that's another $15.00 for Canteen.
Congrats to you all the winners and to all of you for participating with gusto once again.
