Wild strawberries have taken over a flowerbed about 6ft square and overflowed along the path. Pretty flowers but as I’ve said I hate strawberries. My husband loved them and there were always enough to freeze.

Didn't they go a bit mushy, when thawed Lez? I generally don't freeze soft fruits, because of this. It's odd...but I don't like many berries at all...can't abide Raspberries in their natural form (will eat them once the seeds are removed..i.e. in jams/perserves etc), blueberries, gooseberries, pretty much all the berries..even though they aren't actually berries! Like a banana & apple though..they are berries!

No, not mushy at all. We had loads of raspberries too, which I also hate. The only fruit I like uncooked are melon and pineapples. Apples, blackcurrants and redcurrants I Iove in a pie with custard.
