Got to love the excitement of a kick after the siren! Gazza had just scored for the Cats. With less than 30 secs to go, they won the ball from the bounce, got a free kick for a high tackle but cleverly played on (advantage rule) and got the ball down to Harry Taylor on the forward line. Siren goes. Taylor is normally a dead-eye dick but he sprays the ball and the Dogs breathe a collective sigh of relief after losing so narrowly under similar circumstances last week. Once again, that Grizzly bloke was the only one to pick it!

Well you weren't alone on that one Blastro. Most of us got burned - especially by Sunday's results. Suzy last posted on this thread on June 21. I think we're all hoping that no news is good news. Fingers crossed that all is well with her, her Mum and Dad and her two hairy woofers. Might just be technology letting her down.

So good to switch on this morning and find a message from Suzy - she's been in hospital but is now home again and will be making a slow but steady return to her old form. Take it easy Suzy! We'll still be here.
P.S. I was going to suggest bonus points for Suzy but she so delights in holding the rest of us up (yes, the preposition should follow the verb, I know, but see Sir W. Churchill on this subject) that maybe deducting points would be a better reward. I think I'll just sling a few $$$ Even Keel's way.

Well that was a night to remember for all the wrong reasons - LOL! ;o>And I sincerely hope that no-one else on here is also struggling to cope with the increase in heat as poorly and as pathetically as I seem to be doing right now? I don't half feel like such a wuss every time I dramatically collapse and then have to go back into Hospital to get myself stabilised and back under better control again ;o<
I'd so like to think that I look far more like a rather beautiful and graciously fading Swan as I rather fragilely yet still elegantly recline whilst propped up upon all of these Pillows (nine in total!) that my Mum has miraculously managed to find for me during the course of the night? ... however, my Neighbour's little boy has just been over to collect some of our first crop of Tomatoes for his Breakfast and he very soon put me straight by telling me that I currently look just like an already brain-dead dying Fly all feeble whilst in it's final death throes!!! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o> ... ;o> ... ;o>

Sorry to hear 'bout yer hospital stay Suze but good to have ya back. Hope yer on the mend ok now. No fan of this kinda heat meself. Going over to our youngest's sports day at the primary school in a couple of hour and am not sure they should be holding it. Was cancelled last year cos it was too hot and it was certainly no hotter than today. If the poor kids don't get heatstroke I surely will.Us Brits eh? Can't cope when it's hot, can't cope with the snow, and moan when it's raining! : )
