Three-quarter time score
West Coast Eagles (Sussex) v Essendon Bombers (Val)
0.1.1 (Q1) 6.2.38
1.6.12 (Q1) 8.4.52
2.12.24 (Q3) 9.7.61
Mind you, the Bombers are still capable of losing. Pt. 3
The cake doesn't seem to be working Suzy - they've ground to a halt. Fortunately the Eagles aren't much better.

And that man Grizzly wins $6.00 for Red Nose for tipping the Bombers by 19. Essendon tried to give the game up but the Eagles didn't avail themselves of the opportunity. Well done my boys even if I didn't have sufficient faith!
Now if the Socceroos can only complete the double!!!
LA LA LAA...EH?........
...I'm listening now, Val :)
Well done Bombers :)
I think I might just avail myself of a slice of celebratory cake.

Aw well...well done Grizzly...again! I've a feeling the Demons will probably win theirs tomorrow as well..just got a funny feeling about this round!

... and yes, Duke! - I know it isn't an AFL Stadium! - but I'm hungry!!! ;o>"
Who cares what stadium it's meant to represent...that looks lush!!! Here's me plate darlin'! :)

Dunno bud, I took part in the first two-or-three but kinda drifted away from it after that, due to less time spent online, dodgy memory, moods, y'know the usual s*** associated with meself. Will have to see where I'm at when season starts.

I think that was tightest game yet..good game.

Port Adelaide Power (Grizzlygrump) v Melbourne Demons (TheFoe)
1.3.9 (Q1) 3.5.23
4.6.30 (Q2) 4.8.32

Today/Tonight's results:

4.4.28 (Q2) 8.4.52
7.6.48 (Q3) 10.9.69

Western Bulldogs (Blastro) v North Melbourne Kangaroos (Steve)
2.1.13 (Q1) 1.1.7
6.3.39 (Q2) 3.3.21
8.7.55 (Q3) 8.5.53
11.9.75 (Q4) 12.5.77
We watched the Port/Demons game and as Duke says, it was a real nail-biter. Of the five of us, three had tipped Port, the other two were barracking for the Dees. Could have gone either way until very late in the game.
At the other end of the skill level was the Lions/Giants game - what a carnival of errors! Total lack of basic skills. As one commentator said of one player "He's got sunburn on the roof of his mouth from watching so many balls fly over his head." Unfortunately for the Giants, it looks like Jeremy Cameron will get a severe penalty (4 weeks?) for pole-axing Harris Andrews. It was unintentional but when you leave that elbow out and the other bloke is stretchered off unconscious, you know you're for the high-board.
Doggies got off to a cracking start but if North have proved anything this season, it's that the longer the game, the better they get.
Looks like RedJohn may break his duck this week!

Felt sorry for the Doggies..they looked really strong in the first half..but went a bit limp in 3rd quarter....but man..talk about nail biters...the last 10 mins of the game was a cracker..the Doggies were ahead by 4 points in the last 2 mins of the game....then the Roos found one last goal with just 20 seconds to go...poor Doggies indeed! :)
The last game doesn't change anything, so i'll just say congrats to Red John, I was beginning to worry about him! We're all off the starting block now, nice one John! :-)

Collingwood Magpies (Tech) v Carlton Blues (RedJohn)
3.2.20 (Q1) 3.2.20
5.8.38 (Q2) 4.3.27
8.12.60 (Q3) 7.4.46
11.13.79 (Q4) 9.5.59
Carlton were very gallant and really took it up to the Pies. However a couple of bad injuries and their very young list just couldn't match the Pies all the way to the end. They are showing a lot of promise!

I think the score look okay Val..but unless I've missed something..i don't recall pledging my support of Port! Giants on the other hand got the top score at 109! :)
Well done to all concern & kerching Insight! Thanks Giants! :)

Apologies Duke! The laziness of cut and paste strikes again. I've consigned the pesky Power to the tip and reinstated your Giants.
OY!!
Pesky Power? :)
And congratulations to Duke and RedJohn :)

Swans - 8 (tighter than the proverbial, but Swans can do no wrong currently)
Cats (valiant attempt from the Doggies last week, but the moggies have had their catnap!)
Port (another thrashing on the cards)
Crows (first upset, Tom Lynch is back, at home, the Crows will want this one - Eagles are struggling)
Magpies (no contest)
GIANTS (Another tight one & no Cameron, the last time these two met, they drew, but its payback time for GWS!)
Demons (If Kilda wins this, it will be an absolute shocker)
Bombers (Yep, another upset. The Roos are in form, but the Dons could do this.)
Freo (Lions are plucky, but still much to learn yet)
I expect my place on the ladder to sink!
Good luck folks & cheers Val! :)

A few to come this week - maybe getting caught up in World Cup fever - quite understandable. I hope all is well with Suzy - she hasn't been around for the last week - let's just hope it's her laptop that's crook and not her or her family.

Tigers x 26 sees the spoils being shared by Steve (Swags for Homeless( who had the Tigers x 25 and David (The Song Room) who forecast a 27 point win. $6.00 each fellas. Well done. As Duke said, a cracking game.

Well done lads, not often we see two winners for the margin.

I think the biggest surprises so far, are the Magpies & North. 2 teams that haven't performed that well these last few years, especially North, didn't they come last, last year?
Who'd have thunk it that they'd do so well...but can they hang on to their dizzy high position on the ladder?!

You are right too about the Pies and the Roos. The Pies coach, Nathan Buckley, has been facing the chop right up until a couple of months ago - now he can do no wrong. With North, I think they had few expectations (they're definitely in a rebuilding phase) and they seem to take to the field each week as if they've nothing to lose so they may as well enjoy themselves - result: they're playing a delightful brand of exciting footy.

Sussex better get the rest of his tips in too, next match kicks off in half an hour!
