This book was very entertaining deal with everything that’s going on in real world. Book can relate to “Trayvon Martin” , Charles Smith , young man like them shot an killed for no reason. This book really can relate to people that the had a friend that past or either “Social Media” to bout teen getting killed by the police officer. How they live in the ghetto and there are a lot of things going on. And there are different families but she has a brother with the same father but different mother’s. An how they get along and she best friends with the brother sister.
Star is a very smart girl, She doesn’t go school in the hood , but she goes to school were the richer kids are with mix colors. Star has been through this before with on of her bestfriends “Natasha” when they were ten in she got shot in front of her , Than has to go through it again with her other friend “Khalil’s” she see him get shot by a police officer. She has a brother that seven who got things going on in his mother house an more so he stay with his father with is also star father. Everyone makes big deal out of the everything that happen with khalil and more. Star have dreams about them am how every happen , And now it is time for star to stand up for justice on khalil an what happen.

I love Star she is a brave, smart , intelligences , outstanding charter , I was surprised that she could answer the questions the way she could an not break down or get emotional for no reason , as of how she was before she went to talk to the officers. An Star hasn’t been to school since the accident. How when she gets in the police officer an star gets scared , because the police officers watches her as they enter.
