In the book “crush” by Jeff Gottesfeld , He was born in 1957, he wrote the movie “Broken Bridges” and he stands out with Outstanding drama series and the writing team. This book was published on December 30 ,2013. The genre would be Fiction And the books is really about making choices for yourself.This would be the 4 book in the series that I read.The book was about a college student Name Ronette aka CeeDee was going through a break up ,having hard times with Grades and trying to keep up with her friends and becoming a good writer.The book was very dramatic and very eye catchy.
I can say that I really connect with this book . I think that the book Crush should get 4 stars.The book was a very amazing life lesson.It talked about how teenagers make mistakes in life and learn from them.I am 18 a senior in high school.I thought that college students didn’t have trouble and college was the life that every high school student wanted. This book should be for 11th and 12th graders. I say this because it can teach you about friends , choices and making good choices with school.The lesson I learned from the book is be yourself.The best line in the book was “Do what’s best for you and only you”.To me its saying no matter how hard you work , work for yourself even though you might have hard time with what your going through still push through, Be proud about the amount and hard time you put in.One thing about the book that can improve is how the characters are not as caring as I thought they would be.I realize that she was trying to work on school and have a boyfriend at the same time she is a very hard working student but many people don't see that in her ,The character is a very strong minded person, I don’t think I could have a boyfriend and try work on school at the same time.Some questions that I have about the book is how didn’t she leave her boyfriend alone when she was having hard time with school? Why did she think everybody was out to get her? I Just began to love reading books.When I was reading the book I thought to myself Why are you reading stuff like this ? What even mad me want to read a book like books that grab me attention and Crush did.I can really connect with this character , I have had some hard times making good choices with school but at the end I made the right choice.In the middle of the book It had me kinda worried because I thought she was going to dropout of school. The book could also be for 9th graders too because it could teach them how to make choices. If you like drama books and want to know how to make good choices and want to know what are good friends and want help , Crush would be the book for you.
