LaniHe strokes my hair as his hand that holds mine, rubs his thumb over my knuckles. He rests his head back against the arm rest and I find myself dozing off in his arms. With all the craziness with our case it was nice to have a moment were everything was calm. I moment to catch my breath.
(Did you want to focus on developing their relationship a bit more or do u want to continue with them and their case? I’m just trying to think ahead)
(Hmm maybe develop their relationship and then get back to the case so the killer has more to use against them.)

Throughout the rest of the movie I hover in between sleep and consciousness. I couldn’t tell what the movies about for my life yet I remember every movement Lani made in my arms—whenever she stirs, how she pushes to get closer to me, even the way her heart fell in rhythm with mine.
LaniI stay curled up with him, dozing on and off while the movie goes on. After a while I am pretty such it is over but I hadn't looked over to check. "Should we move to your room?" I ask sleepily since the couch was were Eriks had been sleeping the last couple of nights.
He was already passed out in the lounger but still I don't think Ezra wanted to sleep on the couch with me.
Ezra I nod. “Good idea.” Sitting up slowly I take Lani hand and lead her to my room, closing the door quietly behind us. Then she tells me that my mother gave her her phone number if we need her or anything. “Do you think she’d want to meet me?” The question comes out a whisper.
LaniHe smiles but his brows furrow. He asks me about her as he shifts to rest back against the pillows. He asks if I think she would want to meet him. I smile softly and nod a little as I press a kiss to his chest.
"I think she would." I whisper softly. "She loves you. I could tell. I think she is just afraid that you would mad at her for leaving you with your father." I reach up to stroke back his hair softly.
EzraLani soft hand strokes my cheek as she brushes my ruffled hair from my eyes. I smile a little at her assurance. “Maybe when everything’s over, we could arrange a meeting?” I sigh as I lay back down. Both my hands rest on her back stroking her shoulders lovingly.
LaniHe smiles a little and sighs saying maybe when this is all over we could arrange a meeting. He lays back, his hands stroking along my shoulders. I smile and rest my head back on his chest.
"I'd like that a lot. I think you mom would too. She wanted to see us both more once this was all over." I whisper with a soft smile. It was nice. For a moment things were peaceful but I doubt they would least. They never did for me.
EzraI smile. Taking a big breath I sigh and tuck her hair behind her ear. “We better get up, shouldn’t we?” I murmur with lopsided grin before sliding out of bed and grabbing some boxers and a pair of clean jeans.
LaniHe smiles and takes a breath with a sigh. He tucks a piece of my hair behind my ear and murmurs we better get up shouldn't we.
"Mmm do we have to." I say playfully as he slides of out of bed and grabs a some boxers and a pair of clean jeans. I smile softly watching him dress before I sigh and get up myself. I get up and search around for my clothes. Once I find them I slip them on.
Ezra“Yes, we do,” I tell her. “We do have jobs, remember?” I pull on a shirt and some socks then quickly brush my teeth. In the living room, I find Eriks still sleeping like a baby draped over the chair. I nudge him awake—he holt’s upright with his hand on his gun once again. “Will you stop that?! No ones here to kill you!”
Lani"Jobs that we can't come back to yet. The captain still hasn't called." I tell him as he pulls on a shirt and some socks. I finish getting dressed and brush my hair out, throwing it up in a messy bun. I brush my teeth and head out to see Eriks jerking awake with his gun.
"You're good Eriks. Maybe you shouldn't be so twitchy." I add as I walk over to get a glass of water. Try and figure out what we could do today.
Ezra“Not my fault. I’m not used to having free time on my hands,” he grumbles under his breath as he rubs his eyes and gets up. I smirk and grab a box of cereal from the cupboard. Eriks follows me and starts brewing a pot of coffee.
LaniHe grumbles about not being use to having free time on his hands. I chuckle as he gets up and Ezra comes over to get some cereal, Eriks follows and starts brewing up some coffee.
"Well don't worry about that. We have work to do today." I say sipping my water. "I know the captain hasn't called us back yet but I feel like we need to be doing something. I'm not just going to sit around and wait for this guy to strike."
Ezra“Good! Where are we going?” Eriks perks up as if he was just given five shots of espresso. I chuckle and set my dishes in the sink.
“Good question. We don’t have any leads. And, unless the chief is trying to kick us off the case, I don’t think she’ll be calling us anytime soon with news,” I sigh, scratching the back of my head.
Lani"I'd say we could maybe head to my apartment and look for anything there. The killer had to have touched something, messed with something. He's after me so I won't put it past him to leave me a message." I tell them as I set my water down.
Ezra“Let’s Go then!” Eriks is almost too giddy as he bolts for the door. I can only shake my head as I look at Lani, slowly following Eriks. “He was not kidding about having no time on his hands,” I grumble. But before I go I grab a box of latex gloves from the shelf by the door. When Lani looks at me I shrug. “A crime scenes a crime scene.”
Lani"Jeez Eriks calm down. My apartment is still a crime scene." I calls out shaking my head. We follow after him and Ezra grumbles about Eriks not kidding about having no free time. He grabs some gloves, shrugging saying a crime scene is a crime scene.
"That's true. So grab some glove Eriks and don't touch my shit." I tell him as I slip on some gloves. I take a breath as I step inside my apartment for the first time since I found the body.
“Why is it whenever we hold each I want to sleep?” I sigh, smiling a little as I tease her. My fingers stroke her hair. My breath ruffles her hair a bit and I shift just a bit so she’s leaning back on my chest, both of us fully relaxed in—forever?
