You’re not in the minority. This person has a bunch of clearly fake reviews, all of which are listed clear at the top because he ‘encourages’ people to like the 5-star reviews. The author is a spammer and creates thousands of fake accounts to try to avoid his real account(s) getting deleted from goodreads. Nonetheless, there are enough bad reviews to still lower the average rating to a mid-3’s, which is pretty bad for goodreads.

He is at it again, there are a whole bunch of 5 star reviews posted on 05/23/21...smh

I stumbled upon this book while looking at a GR list of the best scifi ever written. I was confused as I had never heard of it among a list of certified greats. What a joke! 3 minutes looking at the reviews/reviewers here immediately tells me how desperate the author is for fake positive reviews. It's both insane and hilarious how many fake reviews there are. At least now I know never to touch this book.
